3rd Period:
MRH (5-2) – Mel (2) (PP) (assisted by Wes) (12:30)
MRH (6-2) – James D (6) (unassisted) (13:57)

GAME NOTES: I have no idea why there’s a burger on the jumbotron in the photo except that perhaps ChatGPT went a weird way in attempting to pay homage to the Meatbox and his goal of the week. Anyways, said goal would be the high point of the game for camo as yellow would bury four straight to pick up a 6-2 win in the first Sunday game in league history.

THREE STARS OF THE GAME:
3rd – Hicks (1G)
2nd – Sanchick (1G, 2A)
1st – Wes (2G, 2A)

The Grassholes vs The MilkMob

1st Period:
GRH (1-0) – Andrew (7) (unassisted) (1:00)
GRH (2-0) – Jo Robin (1) (assisted by Stern) (9:35)
MILK (1-2) – Jordan (2) (assisted by Caleb) (13:58)
2nd Period:
MILK (2-2) – Rob Meehan (1) (assisted by Caleb) (0:29)
MILK (3-2) – Yehuda Silverman (5) (assisted by Dana) (1:46)
GRH (3-3) – Stern (4) (assisted by Rockoff) (3:23)
MILK (4-3) – Dave O (1) (assisted by Rob Meehan) (12:46)
3rd Period:
MILK (5-3) – Dave O (2) (assisted by Jordan) (8:58)
GRH (4-5) – Andrew (8) (assisted by Jake Kolenberg) (13:59)

GAME NOTES: The AARP line was absolutely electric in this one as Meehan scored to tie the game at two before Dave O took the game into his own rastafarian hands late in the 2nd. Everyone’s favorite 44 year old rookie buried two goals (the first two of what will surely be a long and illustrious D5 career) as the MilkMob rallied from an early 2-0 deficit to pick up their fourth win in a row with a highly impressive 5-4 victory over the Grassholes. Green had been 2nd in the standings and 1st in points per game but didn’t have quite enough cowbells to pick up the dub in this one. A tale as old as time really.

THREE STARS OF THE GAME:
3rd – Andrew (2G)
2nd – Rob Meehan (1G, 1A)
1st – Dave O (2G)

Halloweenies vs My Cup Size Is Stanley

1st Period:

CUP (3-0) – Minsky (5) (assisted by Chris Fullam) (5:30)
CUP (4-0) – Sean Kittridge (4) (assisted by Jake Chaplin) (6:22)
CUP (5-0) – Dave Abada (1) (assisted by James LaPorte) (8:40)
CUP (6-0) – Minsky (6) (assisted by Joe P) (11:42)
3rd Period:
CUP (7-0) – Hilary (1) (assisted by Minsky) (1:30)
CUP (8-0) – Ken (3) (unassisted) (6:55)
CUP (9-0) – Minsky (7) (unassisted) (10:08)
CUP (10-0) – Ken (4) (assisted by James LaPorte) (11:29)

GAME NOTES: Orange had to play without their big three in this one and the results…well…they weren’t great. Unless you were a Cup Size player, fan or bettor, that is, as they put up 10 goals in a 10-0 blowout win. It was, in fact, one of the most lopsided games in league history, just one off the record of 11 goals scored by a team in a single game.

THREE STARS OF THE GAME:
3rd – Chucky Perks (2G, 1A)
2nd – Andrew (2G)
1st – Rockoff (GWG, A)

Flickin’ Bean vs The MilkMob

1st Period:
BEAN (1-0) – Nick (1) (assisted by Ryan Levine) (9:09)
BEAN (2-0) – Nick (2) (assisted by Tom Fitz) (9:40)
BEAN (3-0) – Cherie (2) (assisted by Tom Fitz) (10:12)
2nd Period:
BEAN (4-0) – Steve Rys (1) (unassisted) (1:58)
BEAN (5-0) – Cherie (3) (assisted by Ian) (5:19)
3rd Period:
BEAN (6-0) – Tom Fitz (5) (unassisted) (1:49)
BEAN (7-0) – Tom Fitz (6) (unassisted) (3:20)
BEAN (8-0) – Nick (3) (assisted by Ryan Levine) (4:12)
MILK (1-8) – Yehuda Silverman (6) (assisted by The Milkman) (8:03)
MILK (2-8) – Dave O (3) (assisted by Jordan) (10:32)
BEAN (9-2) – Ryan Levine (11) (assisted by Cherie) (13:20)

GAME NOTES: Bean came out firing in this one with three goals in a 1:03 span midway through the second, the first two of which were scored by a highly controversial sub. They kept on firing too until they led 8-0, surviving a late Milk push and ultimately taking it down 9-2. It was the fifth win in a row for pink and also snapped a four game win streak for white. Dave O did pick up his third goal of the night while top overall pick Tom Fitz led the way for Bean with four points.

THREE STARS OF THE GAME:
3rd – Cherie (2G, 1A)
2nd – Nick (3G)
1st – Tom Fitz (2G, 2A)

Flickin’ Bean vs Red Sabbath

1st Period:
BEAN (1-0) – Tom Fitz (7) (assisted by Santo) (1:00)
RED (1-1) – J Reape (3) (assisted by Nate) (9:35)
2nd Period:
RED (2-1) – Campbell (3) (unassisted) (8:15)
3rd Period:
RED (3-1) – Mel (6) (SH) (assisted by Campbell) (1:19)
RED (4-1) – J Reape (4) (assisted by Amanda) (2:52)
BEAN (2-4) – Tom Fitz (8) (assisted by Cherie) (6:02)
BEAN (3-4) – Tom Fitz (9) (assisted by Steve Rys) (9:52)
BEAN (4-4) – Tommy (2) (assisted by Joe Moskowitz) (13:04)
RED (5-4) – J Reape (5) (assisted by Amanda) (13:18)

GAME NOTES: Bean was white hot with five straight wins heading into this game but after jumping out to a 1-0 lead, pink let red bury four straight goals to take a 4-1 lead early in the 3rd. Bean would then flick themselves to the tune of three late goals to improbably tie the score at 4 with just 56 seconds left. When they proceeded to call a timeout I think most people assumed they were discussing whether they could ride that momentum to win it in regulation. Instead, just 14 seconds later Jason Reape redirected an Amanda shot/pass to complete the hat trick and put Red Sabbath ahead, this time for good. These teams seem destined to meet in the playoffs. 5-4 for Nate’s Hockey School in another crazy finish as Sabbath falls on a Sunday for Bean and their winning streak. Pink remains in 2nd place in the standings but 1st in points per game while red is 6th in the standings but 8th in points per game

THREE STARS OF THE GAME:
3rd – Campbell (1G, 1A)
2nd – Tom Fitz (3G)
1st – Jason Reape (3G)
