GAME NOTES:
Pink actually looked really good in the first period and I would even say carried the majority of the play. This comes with two rather large and rather unfortunate caveats: 1) they were still down 4-1 at the end of the frame and 2) they kinda tired themselves out from the insane amount of running they were doing. Yehuda honestly looked like he might throw up between periods. The result was a 6-2 Cup Size win that was probably closer than it seemed, but still decisive on the back of a four goal performance by Bramson and two goals by rookie Andrew Levy. Also decisive for the league sportsbook who took a supermax bet from Yehuda on Mean Girls +2. Love to see it.

CUP (4-0) – Hogg (1) (unassisted) (4:33)
3rd Period:
RNR (1-4) – Julie (1) (assisted by Nate) (13:02)
GAME NOTES:
Cup Size covers for the second straight game against a shorthanded red team. That said red did break the shutout with under a minute left and then I heard Campbell tell his team that they scored the last goal and that would give them momentum in their next game. And (spoiler alert) they won that one in an upset. Honestly, impressive stuff by Campbell. Def writing that one down and stealing it in the future.
THREE STARS OF THE GAME:
3rd – Hogg (1G)
2nd – Matt Bramson (1G, 1A)
1st – Carl (W, 1 GA)

Shootout Winner by Satok
GAME NOTES:
A classic Friday night game between two violently shorthanded teams. This one went to a shootout where Simon brought the house down with an ultra-rare, Steve Larmer-esque slapshot on a penalty shot to win it after Brooke’s snipe beat the goalie but hit the crossbar. 4-3 Ducks for their first win in franchise history. Quack.

RNR (2-1) – Doug (1) (assisted by Nate) (13:28)
3rd Period:
RNR (3-1) – Nate (1) (assisted by Doug) (8:32)
RNR (4-1) – Dan (2) (assisted by Campbell) (10:02)
GAME NOTES:
The final game of the night seemed like it was likely on its way to being a green win with Slime Time icing close to a full roster while red was missing a number of players and in fact had just gotten beat down by Cup Size earlier in the night. But after giving up an early goal, red fought back and scored four unanswered to pick up a fairly surprising 4-1 win, led by a goal and an assist by goalie-turned-winger Doug. Guess that last goal against black really did give them momentum. Green will look to rebound on Friday night as they face off against Fertilizin’ Eggs while red is back at it tomorrow night against the very same Egg Squad.
THREE STARS OF THE GAME:
3rd – Simon (W, 1 GA)
2nd – Dan (2G)
1st – Doug (GWG, 1A)
