GAME NOTES:
A surprisingly high scoring game as Campbell’s monthlong bender led to some disastrous consequences for red. It’s not like he played particularly poorly – just to the level of your average goalie which passes for poorly for him. But red’s defense was also kind of lacking as despite playing the first 10 or so minutes with an empty net and trailing 2-0 because of it, Purple Monkey Dishwasher was able to mount an impressive comeback to tie the game by the end of the period and win it outright in OT on a one-timer by current ROY frontrunner Cedric. 5-4 purple.

A sterling effort by a badly shorthanded pink team as they mount a two goal comeback in the final four minutes of the 3rd period to force OT. Clap opens their season with a 5-2 win over green who funnily enough kind of took Ryan #2 overall (in a tandem w/ Lucas). The defending league scoring champ was able to shake off a recent concussion to score two goals, including the goal of the season, and add an assist to lead the newly revamped white leopard team to a season opening victory.

A crazy high scoring game and probably the upset of the season just a few games in. Clap was favored to win this one by multiple goals and there was zero action on black but Cup Size was able to take full advantage of a sloppy white leopard defense en route to a nine goal effort which, at the time of this publication, remains the most of any team in a single game on the season. Ryan continued his torrid start with two more goals but Pereira’s 3rd period hat trick to go with two assists was too much for Simon and the Clap. 9-5 Cup Size, leaving Clap fans and bettors alike feeling as if they actually got the clap. Painful.

Due to a sub negotiation that lasted most of the day, Chris Caron gets the call in goal while Campbell leaves the net in order to play center with his brother. I was skeptical of this move but there’s no arguing with results. Rediohead pick up their first win of the season as they take down Cup Size 4-3 in OT. Sadly the feed cut out before the game winner but take my word for it – it was sweet.
