GAME NOTES:
An early game between two retro franchises to kick off the final Friday of the summer season sees red put up eight goals on a beleagured Zisser who could barely finish the game. Harry did almost put the team on his back with a four goal effort which allowed black to keep it close, but even his four wasn’t enough to get them a second straight win. Red takes this one 8-5 and continues to assert themselves as a sneaky contender heading into the stretch run.

GAME NOTES:
Unlike the previous game, this one was a blowout the entire way through as Levine tightened his stranglehold on what would be a league record third straight scoring crown with four more goals to add to his league leading total. Mitch added a hat trick of his own and Tommy chipped in three assists as Shake n’ Bake looks every bit the contender the sportsbook told you they would be at the beginning of the season.

GAME NOTES:
Blowout night rolls on (what is up with these Friday games) as pink jumps out to a 5-0 start in the first period and is able to stay in cruise control from there behind surprisingly strong team defense and a sterling performance in net from Levine, playing his first game in goal in almost a year and adding to his MVP resume with an almost-shutout here. 7-1 pink as they almost definitely get themselves out of play-in range with one more win in their final four games.

GAME NOTES:
The only close game of Week 5 was actually a complete and total blowout through 38 minutes of gametime as the Pranksters led 4-0 and looked to be cruising to victory. But something must have happened on the orange bench around that time because they went on to score three goals in the next 2:56, almost completing what would have been one of the craziest comebacks in D5 history. They also (spoiler alert) haven’t lost since, meaning since there were four minutes left in this game they’ve officially gone on to outscore opponents 21-7. Pretty impressive work by an orange team on the rise but for this night the Pranksters get the W and continue to assert themselves as a surprise contender for the second straight season.
