Notes: The purple team becomes the final team to open their Fall campaign as they raise the banner, welcome Jack back into the fold after a nasty contract dispute last season and take on the Pranksters who I kind of thought would be brutal but won their first game in impressive fashion. Tonight they will still be without McCauley but top picks Gelman, Tom Fitz, Danilo and Joel should all be in. They don’t have any super elite girls who can match up with Annie, but I think their guys can keep this game close and if Cam plays the way he did on Tuesday, notching two wins and coming up big in the Pranksters’ win over the Bastards, they have a real shot to win. That said Jack and Annie are well-rested from a sexy two week trip to Europe and highly motivated to win the games they play since they are likely missing a large chunk of the end of the season. Plus Zisser is highly motivated to play on a team called “Bada Bing,” that much I can assure you, and if he win’s the game he will no doubt call us all who-was. Well be prepared. Purple to win, probably by two.

Red, I had some worries about before the season as it seemed like Nate went completely rogue during the draft and then when he didn’t send out preseason power rankings belittling every other team it seemed like he knew he fucked up. But then they won an OT decision against a strong yellow team in a game they led throughout and now I wonder if they might be decent. This game will tell us a good deal. I’m still putting my money on purple but if red wins this one they’re officially getting upgrade in future lines.

Notes: This game will likely be played 4v4 as both teams appear to have six guys showing up. Hilary will play the entire game on D for pink and Jack will sub in goal while black has their standard Maddie/Jessie combo on D and Dave in net. I rated pink as one of the top teams in the league before the season but they were missing a bunch of players Tuesday and will be missing even more tonight. Meanwhile black will be desperate to avoid an 0-3 start which threatens to sink their morale and their season. I could really see this one going either way but will likely hit the over as it’s the last game of the night and weird shit tends to happen on Fridays.
