Week 6 Betting Lines (Spring 2025)

Beatin’ Meat Crankin’ Hog (-1.5 Goals) (-165)
The MilkMob (+1.5 Goals) (+120)

Over 7.5 Goals (-120)
Under 7.5 Goals (-120)

Notes:
The battle between the two teams who made deals with Cup Size this past week, this game is going to feature like 6 different players making their debuts with their new teams. I don’t know if that’s going to have some kind of tangible effect on team chemistry but what I am expecting is a ton of goals between the two non-Jenn teams allowing the most goals in the league. Crankin’ Hog gets the edge here due to superior goal differential metrics, general reputation and last minute MilkMob requests to move this game leading me to believe they are missing some players for this one. This is also the odds-on favorite to be the highest scoring game of the night.

My Cup Size Is Stanley (+3.5 Goals) (+115)
Talking Reds (-3.5 Goals) (-160)
Over 5.0 Goals (-110)
Under 5.0 Goals (-130)

Notes:
This one could get ugly. Zero chance I’m issuing any kind of moneyline on this game because it would be like -3500 for reds, meaning you’d have to wager $100 on them just to earn around $3. On the plus side for black, this spread would have been even worse before this week’s trade. But on the downside, it’s still 3.5 goals which is easily the largest of the season and should make you wonder what I would have put if not for their flurry of trade activity. The -160 should tell you that I’m still assumingi reds win this by 4 or more, even with Sonj in for black. 5-1 reds sounds about right. The public disagrees.

Team Pie Pie (-120)
The Blue Streakers (-120)

Over 5.5 Goals (-110)
Under 5.5 Goals (-130)

Notes:
These are undoubtedly two of the top teams in the league this season and quite interestingly are elite in very different ways. Blue is somewhat top heavy with Jack/Chad as one of the top combos in the league and Annie/Colleen having a strong argument for being the two best girls in the entire league. Orange wins with unmatched depth from their guys where they have three legit scoring lines and no real weaknesses on the roster. Although both of these teams have the starpower you’d expect to make this a high over/under, they are sneakily two of the top defensive teams in the league ranking 3 and 4 with games involving each of them averaging 5.0 goals. I think this is a sneaky under spot, despite the crowd’s opinion of this having more scoring than Devils/Canes, but the public is correct to rate this a total toss-up. Featuring two of the top four teams in the league and a potential finals preview, this is unquestionably the game of the night and I’m not just saying that because I drafted both. Enjoy.

Silver Stallions (+1.5 Goals) (+120)
Mace Windu (-1.5 Goals) (-165)

Over 5.5 Goals (-135)
Under 5.5 Goals (-105)

Notes:
These teams met in week one with Mace jumping out to a very quick 3-0 lead before the Stallions took over, particularly in a 3rd period in which they dominated possession, closed the gap to 3-2 and came pretty damn close to forcing an OT. Sadly the public doesn’t seem to care about any of that, possibly because word leaked out that Pereira is out for this game. Without their leading scorer and facing one of the league’s elite teams, it will certainly be an uphill battle for the Stallions. They’ll have the services of two over 40 subs in place of the dude who got hit in the face with a frozen ball in week one. One of them works for the NHL, one of them is a former D5 legend who has assured me he hasn’t played any hockey in three years and has gained a bunch of weight. Either way, the public is heavily on purple to win by two or more. I personally am intrigued by a pesky underdog Stallions team getting 1.5 goals. Solid contrarian pick for bettors and poolies alike.

The Grassholes (-120)
Pizza Rats (-120)

Over 5.5 Goals (-145)
Under 5.5 Goals (EVEN)

Notes:
The final game of the night sees two teams who met a week ago with the Pizza Rats picking up their first win of the season by a dominating 5-1 margin. And yet, despite that beatdown, the public still has the Grassholes favored in this one at an almost 60% clip.

Green did pick up another impressive Zisser-led win against blue on Friday night but teal is going to be hungry to get back on track and against a team they’ve already shown they match up extremely well against. I’m taking the Pizza Rats to notch the min-upset in the final game of the night.

Don’t forget to fill out your pool entries if you haven’t already. See ya tonight.
