Notes: Another day spent tracking weather forecasts instead of really looking at these matchups super closely. This one is one of those lines that I can kind of figure out through logical deduction though. Yellow was down to swap out of this game and, although a big reason for that was Tommy and Pete going to a bachelor party in Montreal which they’ve delayed, it still doesn’t speak to a ton of confidence. Meanwhile Jenn was adamant about playing tonight and even requested an extra game, which was clearly impossible as we already had 6 scheduled and if we ever get to the point where we have scheduled 11:00 games which will realistically start at midnight, just kill me immediately. I haven’t even asked who’s in and who’s out for either team but despite me thinking yellow has a much better chance of lifting the cup in three weeks, I have to favor Cup Size tonight due to their implied much better roster.

Notes: Mean Girls are coming off their first win of the season last night but whether they can kep that momentum going for a 2nd in a row against a team top, who knows. The MilkMob had a doubleheader last night and notched two crazy comebacks; one from down 4-2 with under 3 minutes left to force OT (which they ended up losing in), the other from down 2-1 late in the 3rd to win 5-2 in regulation. It was a pretty crazy night which unsurprisingly ended with a bunch of these savages drinking long island iced teas at a bar until 2 AM. I don’t know how hungover they are, but I also don’t know if it matters. MilkMob by three.

Notes: Purple took a tough loss last night to MilkMob in a game they were leading 2-1 with under 10 minutes left in the 3rd. Cup Size is coming in hot after a 3-0 win over the Ducks last night and now have a roster so strong that Jenn did not want to have these games cancelled or moved under any circumstances. This is a really tough game to call as it appears yet unclear which tier purple is truly in: are they a championship contender that’s currently going through a bit of a lull or a 2nd tier team with a lot of high-end talent that needs to get some bounces to compete with the big boys? This will be a great test in that regard. With Caleb, Jo and Mitch in, this game will likely hinge on how Simon’s season debut in net goes. I’m betting they keep it close. Purple to cover.

Notes: Silver is playing this game without their three top draft picks plus both captains. This certainly does not bode well but they’ll still have league leading scorer Jacob Berko, Metz, Luca and Jess the meatball, plus a crew of subs and yours truly behind the bench. Can this rag tag squad find a way to deliver silver their first win of the season? It’s going to be extremely difficult against one of the top teams in the league, but who knows. I do expect this crew of Tarnow, Milstein and other subs TBD along with the silver players who do make it to keep the game somewhat close although the actual result, as in the previous game, hinges on Simon’s performance in net. I do expect this crew to be competitive though as their ad-hoc bench boss. Make me proud.

Notes: This line will depend heavily on who is in goal for blue. I have already been denied by every goalie playing tonight but two well-placed bribe offers with incentive-laden contracts are out there so one of them will be in goal. And whomever it is, I think they’re going to play hard for that win bonus. Green got a huge win last night over MilkMob, but even with blue’s roster insanely short, I think this game will be significantly tougher. Sex Ed to cover.

Notes: The final game of the night. I just hope to get home before 12:30 which was pretty rough last night. No idea how this one will go as I generally don’t think playing a 2nd game is a huge deal, but it has been really humid lately. Also it might rain around 11. Who knows. See ya tonight.
