Since it’s likely that no one except a few true sickos (aka Hicks & Ryan) check the All Time Records & Achievements page with any regularity, here’s some info on what’s changed and what’s stayed the same since the last update (a few months ago) and what you can look forward to milestone-wise in the coming seasons.
First, the big one – all time points. Names that have a * by them on these charts will denote active players which, since I don’t know everyone’s future plans, will simply be defined as players registered for the Summer 2026 season or who I expect to play in Fall.

I know I write this every season but it continues to remain true – as long as Hicks can continue to avoid moving to the suburbs and dying (aka “The Probert”), no one’s going to catch him anytime soon. The only player who had a chance to do so while both were playing was Sammy and in fact had he not taken his talents to South Beach last year, he would be very close to 1st place right now (four seasons missed at 26 points per season in the highest scoring era in D5 history…very doable). With him safely in Miami, however, Hicks is going to continue dominating the leaderboard until further notice due to his unique combination of having played the most games to this point, rarely missing games for any reason and rarely leaving the offensive zone for any reason. He’s already become the first player to crack 150 goals and 250 points and this season will likely become the 2nd player to crack 100 career assists. Tarnow’s assist crown probably remains safe for as long as he stays in the league because he’s still a very effective winger and at times seems like he’d rather do anything but shoot. While his spot in the top five looks secure for the foreseeable future, he’ll probably get passed by Gelman at some point in 2027 and possibly even this year. Ryan is going to be incredibly difficult to pass as he’s still active, still young and currently leads the league in scoring in the summer season (those totals aren’t even included here). Unless he moves to the burbs or suffers a few more head injuries he’s not only a lock to stay in 2nd but may eventually make a run at 1st if Hicks has to leave the league or if he slows down enough (would have to be one hell of a slowdown though). After myself, Neil and Cherie round out the top 9 there is a massive 25 point dropoff and legit competition for the 10th spot as 11-16 are all inactive while #10 appears to have made the switch to defense which has hurt his production (scoring points consistently on D is not easy…trust me on this one). My personal prediction to take this one down by end of year is Chad but Everett/Glatt are sneaky darkhorses. He’d have to continue scoring 30 points a season which seems unlikely but considering it’s happened in 2/2 seasons, one of them could very well end up in the top 10 by the end of 2026. Top 20 seems like a borderline lock for both of them barring injury or marriage.
After that large pocket of league legends we have a mix of two types of players: accumulators (players who have been in the league since the pre-covid years, your Mark Recchi types) and younger guys who need to rack up more games to move up the leaderboard. In addition to Chad, Ev, Glatt and Craig, you have Minsky, Jo Robin and sneakily James D who I had to do the math on last night and he’s actually higher up than you think: 33rd all-time and still climbing. Jason Campbell‘s also out of retirement and although he didn’t score his first night, he did look better than expected after two and a half years off. Perhaps the most surprising accumulator, which I did the math on last night after seeing him snipe on Tuesday, is Adam Herman who is 25th in all-time points and in my estimation top five in games played along with me, Hicks, Tarnow and Metz. It should be noted that of all the stats the games played are probably the ones that I am least confident in.

Most incredible about this list is how clustered the middle is and how many legends from the past live on in per-game stats. Sigh. Otherwise, this is the list with the least turnover year-to-year as per-game averages are much harder to top than raw totals. Luke used to be in his own tier of points per game by a large margin but is now joined by LBS teammates Everett and Glattman above him and has Craig just below. The top of the list seems to be mostly populated by active players raising the question I often ask when doing these updates: is this case of the league getting better offensively or getting much worse defensively? And in addition to the usual suspects, one name to watch this summer season is Carter who I wasn’t sure would ever come back since he lives in San Francisco but apparently will be here for the summer season. I was the only ranker in the preseason survey to consider him a legit 1st rounder and I think the rest of you will soon see why.

Overall some fairly similar lists to points but in a very different order. What’s amazing to me when looking at this list is, as I wrote in March:
“If you asked 10 people who was better, Probert or Gelman, approximately 10 of 10 would answer Probert. And yet, their scoring is almost identical.”
Both last year and this year they made this list with the exact same goals per game, making the juxtaposition between the two players fascinating to consider. Are we just romanticizing the past and current talent is actually overall better than it was a few years ago or has scoring increased at such a massive rate that a rising tide lifts all boats? It should be noted that Probert was always slotted in the 1st round and generally considered a top 3 player for his entire tenure in the league while Gelman routinely gets slotted late in the 1st round; still an elite player for sure, but he asks me almost every season if he can be a 2nd rounder (to be fair, Probert used to do the same thing as do many of our 1st round captains to this day). Still, the situation as a whole is kind of fascinating. It’s like during the playoffs when I heard a comparison between Nate MacKinnon and Joe Sakic and my initial reaction was of course Sakic is better; over 600 goals, over 1600 career points, multiple cups, a total legend. But then when I really thought about it, MacKinnon is a consensus top 3 player in the NHL, with many ranking him #1. Was that ever the case for Sakic? Maybe for a season or two but most of his career he was an elite center but not on the Gretzky/Lemieux tier and for much of it not even on the Jagr tier. I’d argue that Yzerman was better too, on top of several of his contemporary defensemen. And yet, the legends of the past do seem bigger when we look back than the players we watch night to night. Maybe inherent bias is also due to the draft system and the fact that Gelman used to be available in rounds 5-7 (and was of course always drafted by blue in those seasons). Maybe once you see a player available in those rounds consistently, it’s not quite the same as a guy like Probert who was a 1st rounder each and every season. Just as projecting where Gretzky would be compared to McJesus or Kuch if he played in this era, a side-by-side comparison of different hockey eras is extremely difficult in any context. But it’s great food for thought.

| 12 | Maddy* | 28 | 16 | 18 | 34 | 1.21 |
Meg’s insane 1.40 PPG with an impressive 50 game sample size seemed like a ladies’ record that would never be broken but due to a combination of league-wide scoring going through the roof and Emma being excellent, she is now ahead in PPG and has a legit chance to crack the top 3 by this time next year. Sarah and Maddy also are very likely to be fighting it out for the 6th spot by the end of 2026 and possibly the end of this summer season as they’re both former ladies scoring champions while Maddy sneakily has a top five PPG of any female player in league history.

Goalies remain relatively stable from last season with Zisser remaining atop the all-time wins list despite taking last Fall off and Max/Jeff, the two other remaining pre-covid goaltenders, continuing to take 2nd and 3rd (Max did pass Jeff this past season by virtue of being on a better team and also not traveling nonstop during the year). Sonj and Carl both seem set to make an assault on the top five although the increased scoring league-wide is making it tough for any new goalie to gain ground here. Also, although the varying game lengths throughout the years make a true GAA average tough for some goalies who have played in different eras, Carl’s only played in the 14 minute period era and thus his can be accurately calculated (along with any goalies who joined post-2022). I have no idea if Campbell’s playing in net ever again but in general I consider him between the pipes to be the single most impactful player in the league. And Sophia will prob make it onto the wins list by the end of the year but her GAA got torpedoed by playing on a truly brutal defensive team last season. That said, if pink keeps it civil in front of her, she should climb the GAA/minutes per goal lists in due time as well.

Scoring has gone up so much that I no longer have to split assists and points into 10 game season vs 15 game season marks (we did a 15 game season one time right after covid; needless to say, the people who got stuck on bad teams absolutely hated it). Quite honestly the safest record among players seems to be Sam’s 18 assists in a season because, unlike in the NHL, since we don’t give secondaries goals do generally come easier than assists. And the safest record in the league, in my opinion, is EJ Entertainment giving up 8 goals across an entire 10 game regular season. Short of ditching the draft setup and moving to a complete no parity system (which is never happening), I’d be shocked if that one ever went down. That team gave up half their goals in their one loss of the season and otherwise had six shutouts in ten games. And then lost the top goalie, the top lady and the rookie of the year that season right before the playoffs. Sigh. Still, by most metrics, it might actually be the strongest team in league history. And one sidenote for Hockey At Glatt’s members: last season’s team came just one goal short of tying Clappin’ Cheeks (Spring 2024) for highest goals per game in a season and just two goals short of passing them entirely. I’m not one to point fingers but this is almost definitely Tony’s fault.

“Predictions from just three months ago: by this time next year, all these lists are going to be totally different as Ryan/Hicks attempt to become the first player to win 3 scoring titles, and likely one of them will, while Everett/Glatt look to crack the 2 mark. With Sam and Jack retired, Ryan will take the lead on POY finalists and probably hold onto it for a really long time. Player of the Year awards, as with anything related to democracy, are close to impossible to predict.“
Just a few months later and only the Everett prediction has come true as he joins the two time scoring title club and will look to become the first to three. But with Ryan currently leading the league in points this season he’s not going down without a fight and looks to be the early frontrunner to get his 3rd scoring title and 3rd Player Of The Year Award. And as far as cups…with myself declared ineligible for these lists, the top 3 are all retired, leaving room for someone to join or even surpass them. Who will it be? It could be anyone. It could even be…you?
