Summer Tourney Registration

THE FIRST EVER D5 SUMMER CLASSIC TOURNAMENT WILL OFFICIALLY TAKE PLACE ON JUNE 28TH AT THE JERSEY SHORE!

All games will take place on June 28 at the Dealy Field Roller Hockey Rink with a post-tourney rager on Saturday night (many people will make it a full weekend of festivities).  Will there be a guest appearance by DJ Pauly D or Jenn’s spirit animal Snooki? Who’s to say. 

Please fill out the form below to register. Your registration will only be considered complete once you fill out the form below AND pay your registration fee. Registration fee is $49 if you’re an active D5 player (Spring or Summer 2025), and $69 (nice) if you’re not a current player.

REGISTRATION
When you register you will see that you have a few options:

a) Register as an FA – this is basically the same exact option as when you register for the league.  You are guaranteed to be placed on a team via the supplementary draft.  Which team is TBD and dependent on various factors but pretty much every team in the tournament will have some number of FAs on it, and I am expecting every team in the tournament to be competitive.  You can submit a request to be placed on a team with a specific friend and if they list you as well, I will almost definitely make it happen.  Note that if you register as an FA but then later decide to join a specific team, that should also be ok in most cases.  Check in if you have any questions about this whole process.

b) Register on a specific team – if one of the approved captains has spoken to you aleady about being on their team, you can list them and be added to their preliminary roster.

c) Register as captain of a team – to do this you must have already filled out the Captains Form and been confirmed, which several of you have been already.  

SCHEDULE OF GAMES
All games will take place on Saturday, June 28.  Each team is guaranteed two prelim games plus at least one playoff game.  Games will likely start around 8:30-9 AM (depending on how hungover I am) and wrap up before 6 so everyone can get back, shower up and get to the afterparty.

SCHEDULE OF EVENTS
Thursday Evening – TBD, for professionals only
Friday Evening – welcome dinner at Carmine’s where we will have an entire floor rented out.  Prefix dinner curated by me with an open bar, some games, some speeches – who the fuck knows.  Afterparty at a bar upstairs which has beerpong, ping pong, games, live music and all the tequila shots you can handle.
Saturday Evening – post-tournament blowout party.  Location – TBD.  Ice luge – guaranteed.

LOCATION & LODGING
I am currently working with Caesars to reserve a block of rooms at the Tropicana in Atlantic City for a discounted rate, possibly on the same floor if they can swing it.  This is where I’d expect the majority of people to stay as the Friday night dinner and afterparty will be on the premises and the Saturday night post-tournament blowout is just 10 minutes away via Uber.  I will have more info on that in the coming weeks.

All games take place on Saturday in Sea Isle City which is about a 30 minute drive from Atlantic CIty / Margate City.  

If you are booking your own lodging accommodations rather than waiting for the room block, I would strongly encourage you to book in AC / Margate / Brigantine rather than Sea Isle as that is where the majority of activities will be taking place.  They also generally have better Airbnbs like this one which I booked a few years ago that had an elevator. Was glorious. 

Getting to Sea Isle from AC/Brigantine/Margate is an easy 30 minute drive in the morning.  Getting to the parties at night from Sea Isle is a far pricier cab ride.  Plan accordingly.
