My Cup Size Is Stanley vs Rediohead
1st Period:
CUP (1-0) – James LaPorte (3) (assisted by Adam Caslow) (4:00)
RED (1-1) – Tarnow (1) (unassisted) (5:56)
RED (2-1) – Tarnow (2) (assisted by Nate) (12:12)
2nd Period:
RED (3-1) – Nate (3) (assisted by Murad) (0:17)
CUP (2-3) – James LaPorte (4) (assisted by Joe) (1:20)
3rd Period:
RED (4-2) – Nate (4) (assisted by Murad) (9:10)
RED (5-2) – Tarnow (3) (unassisted) (11:22)
GAME NOTES:
The spread on this one was red by two and despite some Friday night absences and an early one goal deficit, they covered on the strength of a Tarnow hat trick and another sterling performance by Campbell in net. Nate would add two goals and an assist but after last week’s bicep flex celly, no one wants to encourage him too much. 5-2 Rediohead.
THREE STARS OF THE GAME:
3rd – JLP (2G)
2nd – Nate (2G, 1A)
1st – Tarnow (3G)

2nd Period:
LEG (2-1) – Chad (1) (assisted by Corey) (1:20)

3rd Period:

LEG (5-2) – Craig (3) (assisted by GG) (5:47)
CUP (3-5) – Lucas (2) (unassisted) (12:31)
GAME NOTES:
Cup Size once again jumped out to a 1-0 lead in this one but once again would give up five goals the rest of the way. Chad and Craig buried two each with Sherbal getting pink’s other tally and my $50 bet with Jenn is looking better every day. 5-2 Legally Blonde as they move up to top four in the standings.

3rd – Joel (1G)
2nd – Chad (2G)
1st – Craig (2G, 1A)

A$$ (2-3) – Stern (3) (assisted by Rockoff) (4:20)
3rd Period:

A$$ (3-4) – Rockoff (2) (assisted by Stern) (9:54)
PIE (5-3) – Caitlin (1) (assisted by James D) (12:16)
GAME NOTES:
As has been the standard all season, green was badly shorthanded and although they put in a pretty strong effort led by three points from Stern and two from Rockoff, the contributions of these sturdy vets wasn’t enough to get by an orange squad that is currently rolling. While orange bettors may have been disappointed that they didn’t quite cover the 3 goal spread, their captains will be happy to have gotten the win and a few crucial points in the standings. 5-3 Pie Pie as they continue to chill in 2nd place in the league standings.
THREE STARS OF THE GAME:
3rd – Caitlin (1G)
2nd – Sky (1G, 1A)
1st – Stern (1G, 2A)

Shootout Winner By Oskar/Karly
GAME NOTES:
Serious question: who gets the shootout winner here, Oskar or Karly? Oskar’s shootout goal is the technical “winner” if we judge it the same way as we do a hockey game – purple won the shootout 2-0 and his was goal #1. Ok, but Karly’s shootout attempt ended the game in walkoff fashion. Which is technically the winner? If you have a definitive answer on this hit me up. Otherwise, purple picks up a much needed shootout win in the first of three straight matchups with orange.
THREE STARS OF THE GAME:
3rd – Max (2A)
2nd – Oskar (2A, SOW)
1st – Nick (2G)
Legally Blonde vs Hockey at Glatt’s
1st Period:
GLAT (1-0) – Glattman (3) (assisted by Everett) (9:45)
2nd Period:
GLAT (2-0) – Glattman (4) (assisted by Julie) (11:19)
3rd Period:
LEG (1-2) – Craig (4) (assisted by Emma) (0:16)
GLAT (3-1) – Glattman (5) (assisted by Zuck) (4:15)
LEG (2-3) – Craig (5) (unassisted) (4:37)
GLAT (4-2) – Everett (2) (assisted by Glattman) (8:23)
LEG (3-4) – Emma (3) (assisted by Jake Friedman) (9:25)
GAME NOTES:
Glatt’s pick up their first win in franchise history with a hard fought, one goal win against pink where they had to hang on and survive in the final minute. But they did so, led by the two top rookies in the league and a huge bounceback performance from Craig between the pipes. 4-3 Glatt’s as brown looks to be rounding into form heading into the home stretch.
THREE STARS OF THE GAME:
3rd – Craig (2G)
2nd – Everett (1G, 1A)
1st – Glattman (3G, 1A)
The MilkMob vs Rediohead
2nd Period:
MILK (1-0) – Alex Merone (2) (assisted by KG) (0:38)
MILK (2-0) – Hicks (2) (PP) (assisted by Danny Wilson) (13:56)
3rd Period:
RED (1-2) – Dan Cohen (2) (PP) (assisted by Kevin Tuohy) (4:14)
RED (2-2) – Nate (5) (unassisted) (6:05)
MILK (3-2) – Danny Wilson (2) (assisted by Jacob Popeck) (10:25)
MILK (4-2) – Hicks (3) (unassisted) (12:22)
GAME NOTES:
I was informed that this matchup will heretofore be known as The Cheeks Bowl and in fact a trophy was purchased for this very game. MilkMob had never beaten red in franchise history but they brought it on this night and controlled most of the possession, leading 2-0 heading into the 3rd. Red rallied with two goals in less than two minutes midway through the 3rd to tie it up and it looked like with both goalies playing tremendously we were destined for OT. But a turnover in front of the red net allowed the mob to take the lead and Hicks sealed it for Papa Joe. 4-2 Milk as they pick up their first win over red in franchise history and hoist the Cheeks Cup (or whatever the hell they’re calling that trophy).
THREE STARS OF THE GAME:
3rd – Campbell (4 GA)
2nd – Danny Wilson (GWG, A)
1st – Hicks (2G)
The Mighty Ducks vs Great Sexpectations
1st Period:
DUCK (1-0) – Yehuda Silverman (2) (assisted by KG) (8:41)
2nd Period:
SEX (1-1) – Tarnow (3) (assisted by Alex) (2:51)
DUCK (2-1) – Andrew (3) (PP) (assisted by Alan) (6:22)
3rd Period:
SEX (2-2) – James D (2) (assisted by Alex) (5:30)
Overtime:
DUCK (3-2) – KG (1) (PP) (assisted by Bobby Shogren) (1:36)
GAME NOTES:
A super fast paced, playoff-style affair by two of last season’s final four and possibly this season’s as well. True to standard Ducks tradition, this one went to OT where KG would go bar-down on the power-play to give the Ducks the victory and hand Great Sexpectations their first loss of the season. The goal was honestly kind of sick, but sadly was not captured on video. Regardless, a huge victory for the Ducks as they inch up the standings and keep their hopes of a playoff bye alive.
THREE STARS OF THE GAME:
3rd – Andrew (PPG)
2nd – KG (1G, 1A)
1st – Sonj (W, 2 GA)

SEX (7-5) – Ryann (2) (assisted by Cardello) (13:36)
GAME NOTES:
The west coast game of the evening carried one of the most foreboding spreads in league history as blue was favored at -3 with a -500 juice, meaning Cup Size was available at +3 for +300. No one took it but they really should have as it was close to locked up by the 2nd intermission as black led 5-3. Blue would stage a furious rally to win 7-5 in regulation, but not quite cover the spread. Still, one hell of a game to cap off Week 7.
THREE STARS OF THE GAME:
3rd – Cardello (1G, 1A)
2nd – JLP (2G, 1A)
1st – Hicks (3G)
