GAME NOTES: The Pranksters played their best game of the season, aided by a probably career-best game from Cam, as he made a number of highlight reel saves on gold who dominated long stretches of play. Realistically I think this should have been a 2 goal win for tie dye but instead behind 5 points from Gelman and Cam just flummoxing the Calfs, it was an 8-3 beatdown. No standings implications but a statement win for the Pranksters as these two teams will face each other in the opening round of the playoffs on Tuesday.

THREE STARS OF THE GAME:
3rd – Andrew Gillen (2G, 1A)
2nd – Tom Fitz (1G, 2A)
1st – Sam Gelman (3G, 2A)

GAME NOTES: This was quite possibly the biggest regular season game in years as the #2 seed was directly on the line. Yellow needed just a point to clinch while pink needed to win in regulation. Jake was out for this game but emailed his team that they were to pull the goalie late in regulation if the score was tied. You love to see it…yellow led for most of this game but Jo Robin was perhaps the most motivated player in D5 history. Not only is he on pink, but he bet his entire ref salary for the previous game on a regulation win AND had tickets to Tim Robinson the following Tuesday that he did not want to have to cancel. So, with pink down 3-1 late in the 2nd period, he come through with two goals and an assist to put them ahead. From there, it was what the gamblers refer to as “ass-clench time” as pink withstood a furious barrage by yellow to just barely hang on for the 4-3 regulation win and the franchise’s first top two seed since Fall 2022.

THREE STARS OF THE GAME:
