Super evenly matched, the game came down to the final minute when Corey gave gold the go-ahead goal, then their D (and sub goalie Will) withstood a furious green rally en route to a 5-4 win.

GAME NOTES: Fortunately for Seahorse fans, yellow got off to a hot start in this one with a goal off the opening faceoff. Rather unfortunately for them, that was their only goal of the contest as tie dye rallied behind a goal and assist each from Simon/Gelman and a slick tip by Ashkon to pick up their first victory of the season.

GAME NOTES: During this game there were some hilarious complaints from the yellow bench that their chances to win were sabotaged by their goalie subbing the first game. Call me crazy, but I think he would have preferred some defense as red jumped out to an early 7-0 shot advantage, picked up four goals in the first period and never looking back en route to a dominant 4-1 win.

GAME NOTES: The heavyweight showdown of Week 2 started with a bang as Red Floyd once again scored on their opening shift of the game. That part wasn’t too surprising as they’ve been doing a lot of that this season. What was borderline shocking is that both teams buckled down and shockingly turned this into the defensive battle of the season as Sonj and Simon only gave up two combined goals (specifically both by Simon) as red picked up an early statement win with a 2-0 blanking of the pipe squad. Pete and Andrew both missed this one. No word on if Tommy’s talking to either one of them again.
