GAME NOTES: A back-and-forth game that almost went off the rails for green when Corey got injured late in the 3rd and Melrose immediately capitalized to take the lead. But Grassholes steadied the ship, as they have done all season, with a tying goal with 22 seconds left, then a game winner by Rockoff 1:38 into OT. The result was a fifth straight win for green, a third straight loss for yellow and a ton of tequila for Jake and Mo throughout the night. L’chaim!

GAME NOTES: This was predicted to be a toss-up and the highest scoring game of the season and man did it deliver on both fronts. Cup Size jumped out to leads of 3-0 and 4-1 but the teams kept trading chances and Sam matched Ken’s hat trick with one of his own, plus a few assists to boot. Jacob Green stopped him on a breakaway early and one late, but Berkowitz got the rebound on the second one to give blue their first lead of the game which they would hold onto for a wild 6-5 win. Jake got White Castle for everyone though so it wasn’t a total loss.

GAME NOTES: Blue came back from a three goal deficit in the first game and apparently decided that was the key to victory, letting the Pranksters jump out to leads of 3-0 and 5-1. This time, they couldn’t quite complete the comeback as Sonj shut the door and got the W for the Pranksters. It was also Brita’s last career D5 game. Bluebies4ever.

GAME NOTES: Possible KG and Fuchs legacy games here as Ari put up a career high four points while KG scored two goals, one early to give the Pranks a 2-0 lead and one late for the eventual game winner. Branson and Magosin would score on a furious orange onslaught in the 3rd but it wasn’t quite enough. 5-4 for the suddenly surging Pranksters as they continue their ascent up the standings.

Shootout Winner By Steph
GAME NOTES: A rematch of last week’s super tight 3-2 win that was heading to OT before Joe’s individual effort won it for orange. This time, his individual effort led to a screaming one timer by Scott Metz for the tying goal to send it to OT, but red got the last laugh in OT as Steph buried a sneaky backhander in round 6 of the shootout to even the season series and send Red Sabbath home with a win on the sabbath. Tough beat for orange but I don’t think any of them are Jewish anyways.
