2nd Period:
STL (2-0) – James P (11) (assisted by Mo) (0:31)

3rd Period:
PIE (1-3) – James D (9) (assisted by Seb) (11:44)
STL (4-1) – Adam Klein (1) (EN) (unassisted) (12:26)
GAME NOTES:
The opening game of Week 10 sees green give orange their only loss in the final five games of the season and in rather convincing fashion. Although a James goal with 2:16 left got Pie Pie on the board, rookie Adam Klein would bury an empty netter with just 1:34 left to seal the game for Slime Time and set up a huge game for them against pink later in the evening (aka next).
THREE STARS OF THE GAME:
3rd – Mo (2A)
2nd – James P (1G)
1st – Max (W, 1 GA)

GAME NOTES:
This game was essentially a playoff contest as the winner would move into 9th place while the loser is in severe danger of having to play a Thursday night play-in game. And for a while it looked like pink might actually pull the upset as they led 3-1 midway through the 3rd period. But an insane sequence late in the 3rd saw Yehuda make an o-zone pass with under a minute left while his team yelled at him to just eat it in the corner, resulting in Kate (subbing for Emma) breaking her stick on a shot attempt, then running to the bench with it, resulting in a penalty for running with a broken stick, which resulted in a green powerplay that they would convert for the tying goal. Team leading scorer James P would add the game winner in OT as well as Slime Time pulls out an improbable victory that all but guarantees they finish as the 9th seed. Asked for comment, Yehuda said that everyone’s always yelling at him for stickhandling in the corner so this time he actually made the pass. Unfortunately for him, this was actually the one time when stickhandling aimlessly in the corner was the correct move. Truly incredible stuff from the hockey gods.
THREE STARS OF THE GAME:

2nd – Alex Horton (1G)

GAME NOTES:
The Stallions pick up their first win of the season in the finale with a nailbiter 5-4 win over Mean Girls in a preview of Thursday night’s play-in matchup. A two goal effort from Captain Yehuda wasn’t quite enough for pink as Rani picked up four points while Metz and Jacob each picked up two points. An exciting result for silver and for Captain Jacob as he will hang up the pads to head to Boston after this season (but may still be around D5 as a part time defenseman).
THREE STARS OF THE GAME:
3rd – Scott Metz (1G, 1A)
2nd – Jacob (W, 4 GA)
1st – Rani (2G, 2A)

CUP (3-5) – Lucas (2) (unassisted) (13:49)
GAME NOTES:
The final game of the evening sees red solidify their hold on top four seeding with a 5-3 win over Cup Size, a fitting companion piece to their 5-4 win just days earlier. Doug continues his tear with two more goals while Tarnow, Julie and LaPorte each had two points. Cup Size goes into the playoffs having lost 4 of their last 5 and needs orange to lose or win by 2 or less in their season finale to maintain their tenuous hold on the 6th seed (spoiler alert: it didn’t happen).
THREE STARS OF THE GAME:
3rd – James LaPorte (1G, 1A)
2nd – Tarnow (1G, 1A)
1st – Doug (2G)
