VAR (6-3) – Derek (2) (assisted by Probie)
SEX (4-6) – Zach Fein (1) (assisted by Cherie)
VAR (7-4) – Probie (6) (EN) (assisted by Ariel)
GAME NOTES: Probie continued his assault on the Art Ross trophy race (and the league’s gambling funds) with another five point performance. Unlike Sundays, no one got mad at him for being good at hockey…Nicolette scored the cheekiest goal of the year so far, much to the delight of Cheeky herself…Derek finally got on the board with two goals of his own while Charlotte popped in her first of the season off a sweet faceoff play…on the other side, Avery had a goal and an assist while Matt put in two goals…League Webmaster Tracy had her first point of the year…Cherie had an assist but was otherwise so angry about the loss that she abandoned her phone at the courts. Or maybe it was the fault of my glasses case. Guess we’ll never know.
The Charging Cheetahs vs Bombay’s A Sham
1st Period:
CHA (1-0) – Rob Blandi (2) (assisted by Sebastian)
CHA (2-0) – Shelly (2) (assisted by Sebastian)
2nd Period:
CHA (3-0) – Olivier (1) (assisted by Mia)
3rd Period:
CHA (4-0) – Mikey (1) (assisted by Rob Blandi)
CHA (5-0) – Rob Blandi (3) (assisted by Mia)
BOM (1-5) – Sully (1) (assisted by Ariel)
CHA (6-1) – Mikey (2) (assisted by Olivier)
GAME NOTES: Rob Blandi continues to hold a commanding lead in the over-40 scoring race with two goals and an assist…Mia meanwhile put up two assists in her first game of the season and is currently #4 in the very prestigious Asian scoring race, just behind Cherie, Drew and AFrey. Having played one less game, she is currently #2 in points per game among this sexy group…Shelly has two goals on the season, both of them game winners…Olivier had a goal and an assist but was heckled anyways for being French. Tough crowd…Sully and Ariel combined for a late goal to ruin Campbell’s shutout, much to the chagrin of Mikey who wagered $50 on Campbell for lowest GAA and is not coincidentally playing by far the finest defense of his career…then again, you don’t need to play much defense when your goalie’s in the zone like this.
My Cup Size Is Stanley vs Hungry Hippos
1st Period:
CUP (1-0) – Tommy (1) (assisted by Klion)
CUP (2-0) – Will Green (1) (assisted by Jenn)
CUP (3-0) – Klion (1) (assisted by Tommy)
CUP (4-0) – Danny Swersky (1) (unassisted)
2nd Period:
CUP (5-0) – Danny Swersky (2) (assisted by Sena)
3rd Period:
HIP (1-5) – Morgen (1) (assisted by Adam Herman)
CUP (6-1) – Tarzan (1) (unassisted)
GAME NOTES: Cup Size decided to dress more than one guy for this game and it appears to be a winning strategy…Tommy and Klion play together in Mofo and their chemistry showed with two early goals, each assisted by the other Also by “play together,” I mean they’re on the same team but have played a combined three games this season…Ramirez came up with the save of the year on a one-timer in front from his Rehabs teammate Hicks. He was also quick to tell me how bad my positioning as a ref was throughout the game (oops)…Morgen had her first goal in over a year and did it with Cherie’s stick. The two could be heard belting out some 50 Cent after the game…Will Green only had one point in this game, much to the delight of the league sportsbook which was in some danger of insolvency had he actually come back to win the scoring title.
