Week 1 Box Scores (Fall 2025)

Return Of The Pie Pie vs Hockey at Glatt’s

1st Period:
PIE (1-0) – Andrew Levy (1) (assisted by Rani Schulman) (7:43)
PIE (2-0) – Sky Bento (1) (assisted by Sheila) (12:57)
2nd Period:
PIE (3-0) – Harki (1) (assisted by Jo Robin) (10:54)
3rd Period:
PIE (4-0) – Adam Klein (1) (assisted by Rani Schulman) (8:57)

GAME NOTES:
The opening game of the season featured a shorthanded orange team against an even more shorthanded brown team. Although Glatt’s had the services of Cardello subbing, it wasn’t quite enough against an orange team with championship aspirations, even without James. Seven different players notched points for Pie Pie as they picked up a season opening 4-0 win.

THREE STARS OF THE GAME:
3rd – Rani (2A)
2nd – Andrew Levy (GWG)
1st – Max (W, SO)

A$$ (2-7) – Maddy (1) (assisted by Liam) (8:25)
A$$ (3-7) – Keith (1) (assisted by Tyler) (9:12)

GAME NOTES:
Just a day after everyone’s return flight from Nashville, multiple players on blue were just happy to get out of this one without shitting their pants. Well, at least not publicly. That I know of. In any case, after picking up a 6-1 lead after two periods and a 7-1 lead with 9 minutes left, blue just hung on and tried to keep their pants clean. Mostly successful. A 7-3 win to open the season for the two time defending champs.

THREE STARS OF THE GAME:
3rd – Cardello (2G, 1A)
2nd – Brooke (2G, Michigan)
1st – Hicks (3G)

Return Of The Pie Pie vs The Mighty Ducks

1st Period:
DUCK (1-0) – Andrew (1) (assisted by Scott Metz) (7:28)
PIE (1-1) – Jo Robin (1) (unassisted) (7:59)
DUCK (2-1) – Sarah Hoffman (1) (assisted by Scott Metz) (13:09)
2nd Period:
DUCK (3-1) – Rob Meehan (1) (assisted by Nate) (6:51)

GAME NOTES:
The Ducks prevail in a matchup of two of last season’s final four teams and two of this season’s championship hopefuls. Sarah Hoffman picks up the game winner just a season after winning her first ladies’ scoring crown while Scott Metz notches two assists and Rob Meehan adds the insurance goal. Orange outplayed light green for large stretches of the game but hey, that’s why you take Sonj early. 3-1 Ducks.

THREE STARS OF THE GAME:
3rd – Scott Metz (2A)
2nd – Sarah Hoffman (GWG)
1st – Sonj (W, 1 GA)

The MilkMob vs A$$ Fault Green

1st Period:
A$$ (1-0) – Steve Rys (2) (assisted by Lucas) (7:42)
2nd Period:
MILK (1-1) – Greg Davis (1) (assisted by Jordan) (8:26)
Shootout Winner by Steve Rys

GAME NOTES:
The title of the game video looks like it says MILK ASS. That is just so disturbing I almost considered scrapping these box scores entirely…in a total reversal of their usual crazy high scoring MO, the MilkMob were embroiled in a defensive battle as each side could only muster one goal through three periods and an OT. The game would go to extra innings of a shootout where Steve Rys buried the winner on a borderline move where he might have been going backwards but did just enough to convince us not to wave it off. 2-1 A$$.

THREE STARS OF THE GAME:
3rd – Jacob Geskin (1 GA)
2nd – Ridzik (W, 1 GA)
1st – Steve Rys (1G, SOW)

The Mighty Ducks vs The MilkMob

1st Period:
DUCK (1-0) – Rob Meehan (2) (assisted by Yehuda Silverman) (3:21)
2nd Period:
MILK (1-1) – Alex Merone (1) (assisted by The Milkman) (10:07)
Overtime:
DUCK (2-1) – Andrew (2) (assisted by James LaPorte) (4:50)

GAME NOTES:
The west coast game and of course it’s another OT special. This one didn’t go all the way to a shootout (thankfully) but it did require just about the entire length of the OT before Andrew finished a give-and-go with LaPorte to keep the Ducks undefeated at 2-0 with a season opening doubleheader victory.

THREE STARS OF THE GAME:
3rd – Rob Meehan (1G)
2nd – Andrew (GWG)
1st – Sonj (W, 1 GA)
