The spread on this game was set at a record breaking 4.5 goals and despite some late action coming in on the underdog, it proved to be an extremely sharp line as navy jumped out to a 7-0 lead, allowed black to get within 4 and then put it away late to take this one down 10-3 and cover the spread, much to the delight of the house (me) and anyone holding futures tickets on Levine for the scoring title.

After the Pranksters took a 4-1 lead early in the 3rd period it seemed like this game was pretty much over. Incredibly, yellow fought back and scored three goals in 4:13 to tie the game with four minutes left. Less incredibly, however, they gave up a late goal as Gelman continued his impressive season with a late game winner with just 2:09 left to send the Pranksters fans home happy with yet another win.

Glatts is the only team to have taken down Doug Fish this season and came pretty close to doing so again, coming back from down 2-0 to lead 3-2 late in the 2nd. But Doug, Bramson, Hootie and Co would have the last laugh this time with three unanswered goals as they maintain their hold on the #1 seed while Brooke maintains her hold over a higher slot in the attorney power rankings than Tony. All around huge night for the camo franchise.

The final game of week 8 sees Brooke once again break some Glatt’s hearts, this time in a sub appearance and this time with a hat trick capped off by a late empty netter to give the Pranksters another win and vault them into 2nd place. Another quality season for the perennially underestimated Prankster franchise as they take down the two time defending champs and pick up elite standings position heading into the playoff stretch run.
