GAME NOTES: Preseason favorite Ball That came out with a vengeance despite the absence of Jeff’s hockey soulmate Miles…Jeff picked up the first two goals of the game and is now tied for the scoring lead with Avery…Pete and Will showed why Ball That has the most dangerous second line in the league, combining for three third period goals…Cup Size had a number of chances to get on the board in the third, including a JRosen breakaway that just squeaked wide and a Cherie backhander that rang off the post…Scott Heese rebounded from giving up five goals in week one to pick up the lone shutout of this week…Andrea picked up another point and is currently tied for the female scoring lead…former Fuzz linemates do battle next week as Jeff & Co will face off against Hicks and the Hippos. Meanwhile, Cup Size will face the Parrots with both teams trying desperately to avoid an 0-3 start.

GAME NOTES: Both teams were missing key personnel in this one, with Probie, Brennan & Charlotte sitting out for the Warriors while the Browns were missing Luke, Alyssa, Liz and Zach…Blakwolf put up two goals in his D5 debut and could turn out to be a draft day steal…Matt Russo has factored in on both Warriors goals this season…apparently Ramy is not only beta, but loves to scream out the same word four times in rapid succession while he plays hockey. No word on how that translates to his sex life…Cleveland moves on to face Team Sexy next week in a pivotal showdown, while the Warriors will look to avoid a shocking 0-3 start when they face the Cheetahs, who are currently tied for first place and have still never lost a regular season game in franchise history.

Overtime:
HIP (2-1) – Ariel (3) (assisted by Roberts)
GAME NOTES: There was all sorts of hype for the Fireball Bowl and the teams delivered with the match of the evening…Avery opened the scoring on the first shift with an absolute laser over Zisser’s shoulder…Ariel picked up the game tying goal late in the third period after Roberts won an offensive zone faceoff…he also won the game in OT on an odd-man rush after Ziss had just stoned Ryann on a breakaway and Hicks came up with a desperation defensive play on the rebound, then was so pumped about it that he punched his own goalie…Team Sexy had the better of possession but was repeatedly stoned by the ass eater extraordinaire. For once, he decided not to leave the back door open…with the victory, the Hippos have already matched their win total from the summer season…after the game, Fireball shots were flowing hot and heavy at Dorrian’s. The league is looking into Fireball sponsorship for next season as well as the potential for more bowl games. Stay tuned.
