It’s the end of the season that seemed like it might never end. Thankfully, the forecast currently looks clear and we are not cancelling for anything short of an extinction event level monsoon. Come out to watch the games or head over to East End Bar around 8:45. Food and drink will be rolling throughout the night and awards ceremony will start around 10:15, barring overtimes.
Ball That (+120)
Cleveland Browns (-160)
Over 6.5 Goals (-110)
Under 6.5 Goals (-130)
The pick: With Luke and Miles missing this game and Jeff operating and less than 100%, this matchup is missing a lot of firepower. As such, the difference may come down to which team plays better defense and supports their netminders more effectively. Ball That was middle of the pack during the regular season in goals allowed while the Browns were the stingiest defense in the league in front, with Tim K leading the charge en route to the lowest GAA in the league. Ball That will be missing Scott Heese, with Dave GDR of Cup Size filling in for him and getting an early warmup before his 7:30 game. Jeff and Will will do whatever they can to spark their team, and Brett’s been on fire ever since the playoffs started, but the Browns have been rolling all season and we don’t see them stopping now.
My Cup Size Is Stanley (+105)
Hungry Hippos (-145)
Over 7.5 Goals (-120)
Under 7.5 Goals (-120)
The pick: The Hippos will be fresh and recharged after a week off but missing their first round pick and offensive QB Ariel. Meanwhile Cup Size will be without the services of Joey Bats, Tarzan, Maurice, Klion and Adam G. That’s a lot of bodies missing, but also means they can give more playing time to Cherie, JRo and Gene. They’ve got all the momentum after pulling two comeback victories last week, but will they be able to pull it off again? One thing’s for certain: if Hicks loses this game he’s liable to burn himself alive like that buddhist monk in Vietnam. Smart money’s on him taking all the pre-workout supplements his body can handle and making sure that doesn’t happen.
