Notes: No one’s asked me for subs tonight but then again I think a lot of people aren’t sure if games are actually happening so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯. Like I said last week, MelRose is actually pretty solid despite their record because despite taking random shots in the dark at unknown players with all their late picks, they somehow all ended up being good. Public is on the Goaldiggers to pull the upset, possibly because it’s Guido’s last ride in D5, possibly because they’re the defending champs, possibly because they just fill these things out randomly, who the hell knows. MelRose will miss Tash dearly but will actually have most of their lineup for the first time in what feels like months. Tight game but MelRose should have enough to pull through.

Notes: Pink leads this game 2-1 with just the 3rd period left to play. The first two periods were some great hockey, tight-checking but (fairly) clean with a lot of chances for both teams. The difference for pink from early in the season was stark: an emphasis on speed and having Ave, Cherie and Danilo all in the lineup together for the first time all year. Black will have a tough challenge ahead of them having to play from behind but they have a puncher’s chance in this one coming in fresh and with Jacob playing his first game since suffering an injury a month ago and then getting married. Public was all over pink which in gambling often spells doom but in this case I too believe they will have enough to hold on and advance to the next game.

Notes: We are now hitting the danger zone where I legit have no idea if this game will be completed. Assuming it is, purple should be slightly favored but not by a ton against either a Cup Size team they had to come from behind to beat and a pink team that they did not face this season due to the craziness of the schedule. If they play black I think they’ll have enough to win; against pink, it’ll basically be a toss-up. Public seems to agree with me; once again, not a great sign but I’m sticking with it, in part because I’m too lazy to write too much more as I stare sadly at a weather report that seems to be getting worse before it gets better.

Poor Sam, just wants to play some ball hockey. Unfortunately he’s probably going to have to wait another week. Weather forecast looks dire; if this game is played today, I expect green to win. But realistically I expect this game to be played next week. Ugh.
