GAME NOTES: The game that was teased on Twitter ended up being a bit of a dud scoring-wise as the goalies kept this game tight til the very end. With less than a minute left in the game Glanzer scored on a diving effort with the ball loose in the crease to give green the win and celebrate by posting a screenshot from Microsoft Paint. Truly riveting stuff.

GAME NOTES: Julie’s Football Club, perpetually shorthanded with multiple players on the IR, got off to a strong start in this one and actually led for pretty much the entire first period. Unfortunately for them Mikey Schwartz decided to put up his first career D5 two goal game as the man who is usually known for Juuling on the bench tied the game and then scored the eventual game-winner to lead neon to their 2nd victory of the season and keep them in the race for a top 4 seed.

In the first one, Len (subbing for orange) evened the score midway through the 2nd before Danilo put the game away as the only scorer in the shootout.

In the end, however, blue picked up three goals in the final half of the 3rd period, including a late empty netter, to seal the victory and move to 2-0.

GAME NOTES: Julie continues to torture me by having two games go to a shootout in a single evening. Lightning would not strike twice for orange as Blancs’ alternate captain Mike McCauley scored on a nifty shootout winner off the post and the goalies took care of everything else. Well except for my parks department related stress but that’s why we have booze. A 2-1 win for white and sadness for anyone who wanted to get home early.

GAME NOTES: A showdown between the two preseason favorites delivered the goods with a fast paced, playoff-type affair. With Campbell subbing in net for The Muskies while Cherie subbed for EJ Entertainment despite rolling her eyes when I told her about the prostitution ring we are named after. EJ Entertainment jumped out to a 2-0 lead and had the edge in shots throughout the game but Miles picked up a natural hat trick and Campbell shut the door for the final 33 minutes of the game, giving purple a big come-from-behind victory and 1st place in the standings.

GAME NOTES: With Wes, Sean and Dana all missing this game for pink fans were robbed of what should’ve been one of the best matchups of the season. Instead, blue romped with six goals, including three in a 2:30 span in the 3rd, to pick up a 6-0 win…either every single goal was scored at a highly convenient 10 second interval or whomever was the scorekeeper rounded to the nearest 0. Considering the odds of this happening are literally one in a million, I would have to assume it was the latter.
