Notes: Zisser remains dead from Saturday’s electric excursion to Acme and is a GTD to suit up for this game. Max is waiting in the wings in Jersey ready to step in but who knows how this will actually go. Meanwhile Phelps is directing a show and is out for this one as well, replaced by Jeff Green in net. Blue took Brett in round 8 and Dave Abada in 9 and got one combined game out of them. Pretty sure that game was a win but still, certainly not ideal management of draft capital. Still, Sam/Chad/Annie will all be ready and with Cardello ready to run 500 miles like he’s in a Proclaimers song, this should be a grind-it-out affair not unlike the Smurfs’ season ending OT win. Who knows how this one will end but I have the under as a near lock, even with Zisser’s health trending in the wrong direction.

Notes: Cheeks won’t have Pete, Flynn or Ridzik. Meanwhile Pranksters have like 9-10 players but critically won’t have 1st round pick Jo Robin who is missing his second straight final four. It’s a real shame because this was set to be an absolutely electric matchup between two of the top teams all season. The Pranksters have been my #2 ranked team all season while Cheeks have been ranked #1 or #2 by most people much of the season and come into this with the public overwhelmingly behind them. Then again, that didn’t work out particularly great for Edmonton last night did it? A matchup that I think is going to be way closer than people expect. Tough to pick a winner here but forced to choose, I’m taking a Pranksters upset for the ages.

Notes: I’m tired and next season’s captains are already driving me insane to the point that some of them might be suspended. Championship games are historically low-scoring but the only reason this line is 5.0 and not the standard 4.5 is that Cheeks might be involved and man do those guys play high scoring games.
