Melrose Home (-115)
Tropic Thunder (-125)
Over 6.5 (-110)
Under 6.5 (-130)
Notes: I still can’t believe that more people were down to play tonight than last Friday or this Friday but Jenn and I do often tell people this is the most Jewish hockey league outside of the Yeshiva circuit and the league-wide reverence for both Rosh and Yom certainly demonstrated that. Yellow begged me for days to move this game, Hicks agreed, then when I offered the west coast slot on Tuesday they decided to keep it and now somehow end up with an actually pretty solid lineup featuring Wes, James and Sanchick with Chris getting the start in net. Camo meanwhile would be a heavy favorite on any other day but is in a world of hurt for this one. They’ll have APK subbing in goal along with Dave Liang, Milstein and Horton subbing up front. This game is going to played at 4v4 and honestly could really go either way. Camo has been far better throughout the season but with a short lineup and yellow having both of their top picks, it’s close to toss-up territory. I have an inkling that Hicks will find a way to bury a few timely goals but this one is truly too close to call. Save your $$ for the football gambling that you have surely been doing all day.
The Grassholes (-145)
The MilkMob (EVEN)
Over 6.5 (-110)
Under 6.5 (-130)
Notes: Rose and Chris get the call to sub for green while the MilkMob, in true MilkMob fashion, have some of the finest attendance numbers of the night. Before the season many predicted white would be the worst team in the league but they have demonstrated what I have long told captains in this league: vibes REALLY go a long way at our level of hockey and I’m not sure if there has ever been as exciting of a vibes team as white. I still have to favor green in this one as the top ranked team and #2 in standings with three less games played than #1, but could really go either way. Bring out the cowbells.
Halloweenies (+3.0 Goals) (EVEN)
My Cup Size Is Stanley (-3.0 Goals) (-145)
Over 8.5 (-105)
Under 8.5 (-135)
Notes: The Halloweenies are playing without Storer, Magosin and McCracken. Big time ouch. The girls are GTDs so Rose is on standby and Chris will jump from forward into net but make no mistake, this is just a nightmare matchup for orange against a high scoring Cup Size squad. Anything can happen but the most likely thing to happen is a pounding by black and some not-so-subtle glee from Jenn afterwards. Cup Size by a DD margin.
Flickin’ Bean (-165)
The MilkMob (+120)
Over 6.5 (EVEN)
Under 6.5 (-145)
Notes: I’m not sure who’s in for Bean but I know they’ll have Tom, Ryan, Cherie and their goalie. Honestly, that might be all I need to see considering MilkMob will be without a few of their top milkers. The vibes will be sky high on white but this is going to be a difficult matchup against a red hot pink team that’s won four straight. I’m thinking Bean by two.
Flickin’ Bean (-200)
Red Sabbath (+140)
Over 6.5 (-110)
Under 6.5 (-130)
Notes: The final game of the night. I’ll be watching football on the TV and probably live betting like an animal. No idea who’s in for either team but I’m sticking with the same projections I’ve had all season: Bean is flawed but above average while red is not terrible but solidly below average. Bean by two again. See ya tonight.
