Week 4 Box Scores (Spring 2025)

Talking Reds vs Mace Windu

2nd Period:
RED (1-0) – Erik Cortez (1) (assisted by Paul Chester) (2:18)
RED (2-0) – Oskar (1) (unassisted) (11:45)
3rd Period:
MACE (1-2) – Ariel (1) (assisted by Mel’s Ass) (4:47)
RED (3-1) – Nate (3) (EN) (assisted by Sean Kittridge) (13:52)

GAME NOTES:
The heater from Campbell continues. Even the one goal purple did score took place during the one minute that we were switching cameras. Divine intervention? Did that goal even really take place or was it just a fever dream? It’s tough to tell at this point as the man is on a run for ages, allowing one goal in three games and leading a red team no one is particularly impressed with to a highly impressive 3-0 record. But maybe people should start being somewhat impressed because they are the lone undefeated team left with the inside track on top two seeding.

THREE STARS OF THE GAME:
3rd – Oskar (GWG)
2nd – AJ (2 GA)
1st – Campbell (W, 1 GA)

Pizza Rats vs The Grassholes

1st Period:
RAT (1-0) – Keith (1) (assisted by Maddy) (8:21)
RAT (2-0) – Hicks (1) (unassisted) (9:28)
2nd Period:
RAT (3-0) – KG (1) (assisted by Satok) (0:10)
3rd Period:
RAT (4-0) – Hicks (2) (assisted by Keith) (0:29)
GRH (1-4) – Andrew (1) (unassisted) (5:23)
RAT (5-1) – Hicks (3) (EN) (assisted by KG) (11:35)

GAME NOTES:
The league sportsbook had no choice but to make green the favorite for this game due to public perception, teal having been ranked #10 and #9 in the two power ranks that have come out this season. That said, I did warn everyone that Rats were being severely underrated and that spread was a great buy-low spot. Consider the buy-low window officially closed as an ice cold Keitharita opened the scoring for the Pizza Rats on the season and from there the floodgates were open, with Hicks potting a hat trick and his co-captain KG adding a goal and an assist for a highly impressive and I’m sure highly satisfying 5-1 win.

THREE STARS OF THE GAME:
3rd – Jeff Green (W, 1 GA)
2nd – Keith (1G, 1A)
1st – Hicks (3G)

Pizza Rats vs Team Pie Pie

1st Period:
PIE (1-0) – Nicki Dell (2) (assisted by Jo Robin) (5:41)
2nd Period:
RAT (1-1) – Murad (1) (assisted by Hicks) (6:12)
RAT (2-1) – Hicks (4) (unassisted) (9:01)

GAME NOTES:
Earlier in the season Hicks told me that “Jeff Green is straight up ballin’.” I thought about that quote early and often on Tuesday night as Jeff pretty much stole this game, much the way Zisser did for green in Week 3 and the way Campbell has multiple times for red this season. Campbell’s season is getting all the press and for good reason, but it’s also allowed an almost equally impressive season by Jeff Green to fly under the radar as this sick bastard has allowed 1 goal, 2 goals, 1 goal and 1 goal in his four games played. This one was particularly impressive as Pie Pie was all over the Rats in the 3rd period with what must have been at least 20-30 shot attempts. The heroics of Jeff and a plethora of blocked shots, many of them by KG and Maddy, allowed them to hang on for what has to be the biggest upset of the season thus far. 2-1 Rats as, in one night, they vault from 9th to 5th place in the standings.

THREE STARS OF THE GAME:
3rd – Nicki Dell (1G)
2nd – Hicks (1G, 1A)
1st – Jeff Green (W, 1 GA)

The MilkMob vs The Grassholes

1st Period:
GRH (1-0) – Brooke (1) (assisted by Dave Liang) (7:29)
2nd Period:
GRH (2-0) – Josh Wagner (2) (assisted by Annie) (7:27)
3rd Period:
MILK (1-2) – APK (1) (assisted by The Milkman) (5:10)
MILK (2-2) – APK (2) (assisted by The Milkman) (13:34)
Shootout Winner By Chucky Perks

GAME NOTES:
An exciting, back-and-forth game as the Grassholes jumped out to a 2-0 lead on goals by Brooke and Josh, only for Milk to storm back in the 3rd on two goals from APK. After OT and a shootout that itself went to OT, it was Chucky Perks, who apparently works in Jacks office (no idea how that happens randomly) with a slick deke to give the Grassholes the win and move them back to .500 on the season.

THREE STARS OF THE GAME:
3rd – Josh Wagner (1G)
2nd – Chucky Perks (SOW)
1st – APK (2G)

The Blue Streakers vs Silver Stallions

1st Period:
BLU (1-0) – Annie (1) (assisted by Alex) (0:44)
2nd Period:
BLU (2-0) – Jack (4) (assisted by Jack Heitner) (5:34)
3rd Period:
BLU (3-0) – Chad (3) (assisted by Annie) (8:10)
STA (1-3) – Ken (1) (assisted by Brandon) (12:09)

GAME NOTES:
Annie led the way in this one with two points, including a goal less than a minute into the game, and blue was able to lock it down defensively with Max providing timely saves as well. The Stallions did break the shutout with 1:51 remaining to make things interesting but it was a bit too late. 3-1 blue as they wrap up the night by moving into 4th place despite only three games played…Jack’s surprise move to defense is not only paying dividends, but has him as the frontrunner for the Leetch award in his final season. He has actually won one before in the Fall 2019 season but as he correctly pointed out, that move to defense was borne out of necessity while this one is borne out of wealth. More info on this and other wealth-based diatribes to come later in the season at Patrizia’s.

THREE STARS OF THE GAME:
3rd – Max (W, 1 GA)
2nd – Jack (GWG)
1st – Annie (1G, 1A)
