DUCK (2-1) – Jared Pollett (2) (assisted by Julie) (13:41)

2nd Period:

DUCK (3-3) – Russ (1) (assisted by Avik) (7:23)
3rd Period:
DUCK (4-3) – Jared Pollett (3) (unassisted) (6:51)

GAME NOTES:
One of the weirder games in recent memory. After Zisser got injured midway through the 1st, there was no one at the rink to take over seeing as this was the first game of the night. As such, the Ducks played the rest of the 1st period 6 on 5 with an empty net and incredibly escaped tied at 2. Once Corey jumped in, it was a fairly even game until Jared converted a late breakaway to put the Mighty Ducks ahead 4-3, a lead they would just barely hang onto. All told, this game took over an hour and 15 minutes to complete, driving many to drinking (that was prob in the cards regardless).

THREE STARS OF THE GAME:
3rd – Corey Blay (Relief Goaltending)
2nd – Simon (1G, Some Goaltending)
1st – Jared Pollet (2G)

STA (1-2) – Luca (2) (assisted by Julie) (10:53)
2nd Period:

MILK (3-2) – Hicks (1) (assisted by KG) (5:45)
3rd Period:

STA (3-4) – Jacob Berkowitz (6) (unassisted) (8:35)
MILK (5-3) – Hicks (2) (assisted by Amanda) (9:08)
MILK (6-3) – Jay Travers (2) (assisted by KG) (11:51)
STA (4-6) – Jacob Berkowitz (7) (assisted by Minsky) (13:53)

GAME NOTES:
A ladies night performance for the ages for KG who scores two goals with two assists for a career high four points. More impressively, MilkMob only had six total goals so she was integrally involved on most of them. Not bad for someone who usually plays defense…on the other side of the ledger, we have a breakaway for the ages by Amanda. You may think I’m just being an asshole and usually you’d be correct but she specifically requested I cut that clip for everyone so please do enjoy.

THREE STARS OF THE GAME:
3rd – Amanda (Entertainment)
2nd – Jacob Berkowitz (3G)
1st – KG (2G, 2A)

The Pie Pie Strikes Back vs Purple Nurple

1st Period:
PIE (1-0) – Danilo (1) (unassisted) (9:49)
PRP (1-1) – Mitch (3) (assisted by Jo) (11:19)
2nd Period:
PIE (2-1) – James Dziwura (1) (assisted by Caitlin) (3:14)
PIE (3-1) – Sam Gelman (1) (assisted by Caitlin) (6:42)
PIE (4-1) – James Dziwura (2) (assisted by Sam Gelman) (11:53)

GAME NOTES:
A shorthanded orange squad takes down a shorthanded purple squad behind two goals by James, three points from Gelman, two assists from Caitlin and a big debut performance from their backup goalie Ryan. He’s now played two career D5 games and given up a total of two goals. Could this usher in a new golden age of random players suiting up in net? God I hope so.

THREE STARS OF THE GAME:
3rd – Ryan (W, 1 GA)
2nd – James Dziwura (2G)
1st – Sam Gelman (1G, 2A)

Fertilizin’ Eggs vs The MilkMob

1st Period:
EGG (1-0) – Ryan (3) (assisted by Pete) (2:44)
EGG (2-0) – Tommy (1) (assisted by Pete) (7:36)
MILK (1-2) – Amanda (1) (assisted by Hicks) (12:13)
2nd Period:
MILK (2-2) – Milkman (4) (assisted by Jordan) (7:15)
3rd Period:
EGG (3-2) – Jenn’s Bartender (3) (assisted by Tommy) (0:28)
EGG (4-2) – Liam (1) (assisted by Keith) (3:33)
EGG (5-2) – Liam (2) (PP) (assisted by Nicki) (6:51)
EGG (6-2) – Ryan (4) (assisted by Liam) (13:15)

GAME NOTES:
This was a relatively tight game for two periods until Egg blew the game wide open in the 3rd with four unanswered goals. Jenn’s bartender Becca continued her incredible start to the season with a 3rd goal in 2 games and Liam added his first two career D5 goals. 6-2 Egg as they keep rolling into the final game of the evening.

THREE STARS OF THE GAME:
3rd – Jenn’s Bartender (GWG)
2nd – Liam (2G)
1st – Ryan (2G)

Fertilizin’ Eggs vs Slime Time Live

3rd Period:
EGG (1-0) – Tommy (2) (assisted by Pete) (10:44)

GAME NOTES:
With Slime Time Live missing almost all of their top picks and facing down an undefeated yellow team, this looked to be a potential blowout situation. Instead, green played a great defensive game, aided by Max’s heroics in net, and had it tied up 0-0 with under five minutes left. Slime Time +3 and moneyline bettors (pretty much Joe Moskowitz and his friend) were ready to pop champagne in the streets. But Tommy ruined the party (at least for the moneyline holders) with a late goal to put Egg ahead 1-0, a lead they would just barely hang onto for a surprisingly hard fought shutout win. Yellow remains undefeated largely due to Sonj notching yet another shutout. Meanwhile, a tremendous effort by green goes largely unrewarded but it’s something they can build off of going into their bye week.

THREE STARS OF THE GAME:
3rd – Tommy (GWG)
2nd – Max (W, 1 GA)
1st – Sonj (W, SO)
