GAME NOTES:
There was some concern after Campbell gave up five goals in consecutive games to start the season that he might be dead. Well, insert Undertaker meme here as Campbell came through in a game where red got solidly out possessed throughout, but still came away with a three goal win which was honestly never really in doubt after they took a lead. I mean the last time this guy played a full D5 season he went 8-0 with four shutouts. Guys a sicko. Red rides points by six different players and the aforementioned shutout en route to a 3-0 win that bumps them into the top half of the standings for the first time this season.

GAME NOTES:
A very weird game as green’s goalie didn’t show up until the first intermission, forcing them to play the entire opening frame with an empty net. And yet, somehow, they still were tied at 1 going into the 2nd. But the magic eventually ran out as purple buried seven goals en route to a really strange 7-4 win. One hell of an effort by green, but unfortunately still zero standings points gained as a number of continued absences continue to haunt them and send them on a likely trip to the play-in round.

GAME NOTES:
This game wasn’t nearly as lopsided as the scoreline would suggest but after Brooke tied the score 1-1 midway through the 1st, five straight goals by Team Sex kind of put the game out of reach. One of them was incredibly shady but still counted despite possibly (probably) being too many men. Neil added a goal late and Schvitzing put on some pressure in the waning minutes but blue escapes with a 6-2 win to remain undefeated on the season.

Shootout Winner By Bramson
GAME NOTES:
This ended up being the game of the night despite a two goal spread which was hammered so violently by half the Glatt’s team that I had to pause betting and move both of their lines. True to what they promised, they came out in this one with renewed vigor and honestly got the better of play for much of the game. But timely scoring by Clap and a quality game from Jeff Green allowed white leopard to escape this one with a shootout win on the strength of shootout goals from Ryan and Bramson. A quality result for both teams as Clap prove they still know how to pull out wins while Glatt’s picks up their first point of the season, gains a measure of respect and perhaps most importantly covers the spread for the many degens on their team. Ugh.

GAME NOTES:
A super evenly matched game between two teams that I am involved with and for whom I negotiated a sub agreement for this one whereby Sonj would sub in net for orange while Schvitzing would have their pick of any sub in the league. They chose Pete to man the defense and in the first period it looked like it would pay off as grey jumped out to a 2-0 lead. But Pie Pie showed the same resilience that the namesake fat cat did in living for 6 years with diabetes on top of morbid obesity. Orange stormed back to tie the game at 2 and then at 3, then won the game 20 seconds into OT on a slick move from Ryann, subbing in her first night back in New York. 4-3 Pie Pie as they move up to 2nd place in the standings.

GAME NOTES:
The west coast game of Week 5 was a tightly contested, tight checking game despite the 3-0 score for most of it. And on a single shift late in the 3rd Glatt’s proved just how close they were all along with two goals in 34 seconds to cut the lead to 1. MilkMob had to just hang on for dear life but in the end Papa Joe goes back to the farm happy with a 3-2 win, their first of the season.
