BREAKING NEWS: Pink Acquires Levine, Immediately Rebrands

Massive news out of Brooklyn today as Yehuda has taken a break from seeing movies at 3 PM and calling me every day this week to discuss various trade terms to actually complete what might be the biggest in-season deal in the history of D5. The league’s 2nd all time leading scorer, five time Player Of The Year finalist and two time Player Of The Year has been dealt (as part of his tandem with Campbell, who is also great) back to pink to reunite with Tommy and Pete who after just 7 games of playing without him clearly decided that was more than enough. Also reuniting with the squad is Cam who has had two of his finest seasons playing with the Cheeks crew and Scott Metz who apparently could not make any game before 8:00 this season which somehow ended up being like all of yellow’s games so far. My bad on that one. All three are extremely excited to turn the page on a new chapter and not quite as excited to hear Yehuda lecture them on hockey strategy for the foreseeable future.

Heading the other way is the defending #1 Goalie Award winner Tyler Cross along with noted mishpokhe Mitch and underrated Pittsburgh dman Brandon Spreckles. Mitch will break his noted no rolling on shabbos rule to make his yellow debut tonight at 8:50 while Brandon is unfortunately out. Tyler is not only in but was actually supposed to play D for green as part of his tandem with Carl so this trade is even better than I originally believed. With this deal, plus the Ali retirement/Barrett acquisition from earlier this week, yellow has now overturned almost 30% of their roster from just a week ago. With the trade deadline just hours away and taking place at 3 AM tonight at Dorrian’s, there’s a good chance this will not be the final trade announcement post of the season. Stay tuned.

Also pink has rebranded to Saving Private Ryan, effective immediately. And Simon may be holding out for a trade ala Connor Hellebuyck for the rest of the season. We’ll find out at Dorrian’s tonight.
