Week 7 Betting Lines (Summer 2019)

Stud Puffins (-120)
My Cup Size Is Stanley (-120)
Over 5.5 (-110)
Under 5.5 (-130)

Notes:
The Puffins will be without the services of Scott, Dan, Lee, and Justin is a gametime decision; they will be using a sub TBD. Cup Size will be employing the services of Will Green in place of Josh Rosen, Becca and possibly a couple others who are game time decisions. Tim Burke will be in net in this one while Cup Size goalie Shaun deLacy got fucked by his opposing counsel (note: this is not his pet name for his wife) and is a last minute scratch with goalie sub also TBD. This is a matchup where the Puffins will need to use their speed to keep Cup Size off balance. Ariel has remarked that SBJ is one of the toughest guys in the league to cover and Cup Size will have to make adjustments to their, shall we say, “laid back” back-checking if they’re going to shut down the Puffins offense. It’s been an up-and-down season for both teams (mostly down), but Cup Size has been in their games the past two weeks and are due for some positive regression. Bet on black.

RONKONKOMA CONDO’S (-135)
The Charging Cheetahs (-105)
Over 6.0 (-120)
Under 6.0 (-120)

Notes:
Neither team has any subs to report save for the possible late arrival of Ronkonkoma goaltender Zak Casca. He’s scheduled to fly in around 6:00 which would put him on track to arrive in time to make this one but if his flight is delayed, Max of the Goonies is ready to step in in emergency relief. Both these teams were extremely impressive in their most recent games; the Cheetahs in putting an absolute beatdown on the Puffins, and the CONDO’S in putting together a gutsy comeback win with a ton of subs against the Goonies. With Cheeky, Sarah, Olivier and co back in action, look for yellow to keep the good times rolling for homebuyers everywhere.

My Cup Size Is Stanley (-120)
The Charging Cheetahs (-120)
Over 5.5 (-130)
Under 5.5 (-110)

Notes:
Both teams will be playing their second game of the evening in a makeup from week two’s rainouts. Cup Size still needs a goalie while the Cheetahs should be in good shape roster-wise. It remains to be seen if there’s any advantage gained by Cup Size in having a full game off before this one while the Cheetahs jump right in with just a five minute warmup after their showdown with the CONDO’S. I’m going to call this one the SBJ special: total toss-up.

Green Street Hooligans (-140)
The Bayside Tigers (EVEN)
Over 5.5 (-120)
Under 5.5 (-120)

Notes:
The first place Hooligans will travel to Bayside High for a matchup that looks lopsided on paper but may prove to be closer than you’d expect (at least I hope it will). Both teams should have most of their lineups in, although Swersky is out for the Tigers and Kevin is a game time decision. The Tigers started 0-3 but have since won two games in a row. Gabe and Charlotte are back but this team still needs to find a way to score more goals, having only 7 in 5 games. The Hooligans have had little trouble scoring this season, with Probert and Pags putting up points at a prolific pace (say that five times fast) while Jon and Guido supply the secondary scoring. These teams also feature some of the strongest ladies in the league and it’ll be interesting which defensive combo cracks first: Hill/Andrea for green or Sena/Kelsey/Charlotte for blue. I’m going to recuse myself from making a prediction in this one; stick to the over/under.

Cleveland Monsters (-120)
Goonies (-120)
Over 5.5 (-125)
Under 5.5 (-115)

Notes:
The final game of the evening sees two of the three teams tied in the standings with seven points facing off. Besides a weird night where they lost two games by a combined score of 10-5, the Monsters have looked great this season, and on paper they should be one of the elite teams in the league. The Goonies have some of the best passing in the league but will have to make do without Caitlin Buckley who is nursing an knee injury suffered in the OT period Friday evening. The Goonies led in that game and led the first place Hooligans by two before allowing them to come back in a shootout. They’ll have to pay more attention to detail if they’re going to avoid another letdown in this one against an extremely talented Monsters team. The key to the game for them will be Max who’s shown a penchant for highlight reel saves and will need to be at his best to shut down Hogg, Tadpole, Julie and the rest of the Monsters’ attack. Under the bright lights of an extra-late primetime game, I think the Goonies will take this one and move into the top half of the league with their eye on the same first round bye that helped guide them to a championship last season.
