Notes: Hogg and Julie are out for the Monsters. Mike T will be subbing for Hogg if this game is played, while the Julie sub remains TBD. I hate everything about making rain calls for early games on Tuesdays, it makes me wish I majored in meteorology in college, which is a sentence I never thought I’d say in my life. I wouldn’t bet on this game because who the hell knows what’s going to happen but since SBJ will probably be chasing last week’s record setting losses, I guess go with the over.
Notes: Derek is out for the Cheetahs who will look to give the undefeated Hooligans their first loss of the season. Green has looked like a championship caliber team all season, scoring the second most goals while allowing the least in the league. Jeff “Wildcard” Green played his best game yet and probably one of the best games in league history in a 1-0 shutout of the Tigers last week, and he seems likely to keep that going tonight. Take Green, even with the wildly unfavorable line.
Notes: Charlotte is a GTD for the Tigers and Kevin is out. Meanwhile, the Goonies may have lost Caitlin Buckley for the season (get well soon). This is a classic matchup of offense vs defense as the beautiful passing of the Goonies will be matched up with the shutdown defense of the Tigers. At least I’d like to think we play shutdown defense because we’ve only scored 7 goals this season, much to Eitan’s chagrin. This matchup isn’t nearly as lopsided as it looks in the standings, but smart money is probably on Cherie making me and Sena very sad.
Notes: It’s Ariel’s birthday tonight. Unfortunately, we can’t give him an early cancelation so he can go to a concert with his friends, we’re begging him to ref one of the early games, and odds are he’ll make the trip to the courts only to lose this game. Sad times for Ariel. These two teams met a couple weeks ago with Bayside pulling out a 3-1 victory. It was a tight game but with the Tigers finally healthy and Gabe getting back into game shape, they match up well against team Cup Size. It should be a tight one, specifically because the Tigers don’t score many goals and Ariel blocks more shots than Tortorella-era Dan Girardi, but bet on Bayside to roll here.
Notes: The Puffins will have Gardie subbing in for Ramy and giving us what should be an extremely entertaining battle of Herr-nation as he faces off against Sarah and Cheeky. How much trash talk is he going to dish out against his siblings, whom he is presumably counting on for room and board? Is he crashing on Lee’s couch tonight? Will Brooks make a surprise appearance and rip his shirt off at center? Will Brian and Sarah make out for most of the game like it’s a Saturday afternoon white trash pool party? I have no idea but considering there’s a good chance this game won’t even be played tonight I think I’m about done writing these previews. Bet the under because Tim K and Casca are good goalies and call it a day, you animals.
