Notes: Previews today will be short and sweet because my back somehow got pulled this morning and currently feels like Bane went to town on it. Zisser and DRo are subbing for Cup Size while the Goaldiggers currently have one rostered lady in the lineup (good old reliable Cutler) with Sam and Liz game time decisions and Izzy sticking by her policy of never playing Friday night hockey games in her life. Both teams pulled out tight victories on Tuesday night but as with most teams tonight, have a ton of personnel issues. Goaldiggers have been on a roll and I just don’t see them losing in this spot, even with a short lineup. White for the win.

The Hyenas are similarly short here but Metz has a buddy coming in from Long Island who is out of shape but supposedly decent at hockey, idk. These teams played on Tuesday and the game was super tight (2-1 Hyenas midway through) until early in the 3rd when the Royals went on a scoring binge en route to a 9-4 victory. Even with all the question marks in this one, I think Orange finds a way again.

Notes: The McQuade special is fully in play here as both teams are severely struggling which is a shame because this is the much anticipated rematch from an 8-5 thriller a few weeks ago. Ducks have Sam, Sully, Stabel, Kevin, Meg, Kelsey and Nicki in with Alex (aka me) a GTD due to some bizarre back pains. Meanwhile Barrel currently have Derek, Joel, Westley and Abby in with Sanchick and Davis as GTDs. Subs will be furnished but who the hell knows who…in general anyone who comes to play tonight is at serious risk of being offered free additional sub hockey. No idea what the hell to do with this one. Prob a stay away unless you like pain in which case welcome to the show.

Notes: Probert is out for the Hooligans but AK is back in the lineup after skipping out on Tuesday’s games. As a sidenote, I don’t think I’ve ever regretted putting anything in these previews as much as I regretted throwing in Cersei’s “I Choose Violence” clip last week. Like people, I was not being literal with that one. That said, while these two franchises went at it last year I see this being a fairly clean, non-controversial capper to the night (one can hope) and the game where I’ve been asked to furnish the least subs, thank god. I’m taking the over in what should be a fast paced, relatively defense-free Friday night affair.
