Green Street Hooligans (+105)
Shooting Blancs (-150)
Over 6.0 (-135)
Under 6.0 (-105)
Alex Notes: The long awaited showdown between Simon and Yehuda plays out as the opening game on a Friday night where we hadn’t even planned to play, much like these two teams weren’t even supposed to play this season until this bizarre rivalry which came out of nowhere and captivated a nation. It is, in many ways, the epitome of The Confrontation. What, you didn’t REALLY think I’d let an entire year go by without referencing Les Mis in these previews? If so, you don’t know me at all and you have no business calling yourself my best friend (not sure how many of you were going around saying that). Anyways, for the uncultured among you (aka almost everyone reading this), this is an electric duet between the rogue with a heart of gold (Valjean) and the rigid agent of the state (Javert). So which is which, who is who, out of Simon and Yehuda? I’m not sure. They’re both kind of clowns or, as Simon would call it, “el bitcho bozo.” No really, he says shit like that to me pretty much everyday.

I’m going to go ahead and make the Blancs the favorite here if for no other reason than I don’t want to be called bozo. Also Simon seems like he’s sad this week.

Simon Notes: McCauley is back. I love McCauley, hes my homie. Im happy to have him back, hes a great player/person to be around. White should get the W here but i think it’ll be a close matchup. Possibly OT/SO win. not sure, what im sure is Yehuda will be screaming a lot and not passing it to Amanda.
The Lavender Llamas (-110)
Shooting Blancs (-130)
Over 6.0 (-120)
Under 6.0 (-120)
Alex Notes: Unlike Simon who is sad because he is the first man in history to miss his wife when she’s away, Annie is just sad because her team keeps ghosting her. Luckily, when you have a man like Jack McGinty by your side, anything is possible and much like Jack showed Rose the world in Titanic before she selfishly let him drown in the frozen ocean rather than share more of the floating door with him, Jack will show Annie what his glove hand looks like and hopefully she will let him live.

I normally don’t put much stock in back-to-backs but with temps expected to be a sweltering 90 degrees at puck drop, it’s going to be tough for the Blancs to keep the same pace in this game as in game 1. And they won’t have Simon patrolling the blue line in this one as Jacob can only play one game – Simon will jump in net for his team in this one. Will fatigue and a goalie change be enough to swing momentum towards the Llamas? I have no idea which is why this game is going to be rated as a borderline toss-up with a slight edge to white since they have their full team.
Simon Notes: Llamas are depleted for this game, they get Levine to sub and im not sure which goalie they’ll have. With that said, i heard this really good goalie is playing for White so i have to favor white for this one. 2-0 W for White.
Merry Pranksters (-155)
Green Street Hooligans (+110)
Over 6.0 (-130)
Under 6.0 (-130)
Alex Notes: Pranksters are missing a bunch of players but they have Sam, Derek and Cherie subbing. That’s really all I needed to see. I could waste your time with stats, analytics, historical precedent and other stuff that will make it look like I analyzed this game more deeply than I did but I respect your intelligence too much to lie to you. Ok, that was a lie too. Anyways, Hooligans look to be improving but Pranksters should take this by multiple goals.
Simon Notes: pranks and yehu’s, not sure how pranksters lineup is but if they have all their guys they should win this one, if they dont then they should still win but a little less.Â
Blueberry Bulldogs (-160)
The Lavender Llamas (+115)
Over 5.5 (-110)
Under 5.5 (-130)
Notes: Simon gets the call for the Llamas and he is the only goaltender to notch a win over blue all season. Meanwhile Zisser is missing this game to see Oppenheimer (true story) but Ridzik will get the call and provide capable goaltending so long as he doesn’t throw up or die of exhaustion. Llamas also have Levine and the famous Rusty subbing in. After all the beautiful stuff Annie had to say about Jack in the previous game when she needed him between the pipes, he now gets unceremoniously yanked in favor of Simon (tough but fair). As I pretty much always write in Llamas previews – this matchup is closer than you think. Bulldogs are #1 in the standings and Llamas #10 but as we know, when it comes to one night stands you can throw all logic out the window and for this one night with both teams missing a bunch of players, standings position doesn’t matter as much as it seems. I still think blue pulls out the W, but it should be a close one.
Simon Notes: Apparently the really good goalie mentioned in game 2 is in for Llamas, this puts Llamas in a great spot to potentially upset the dogs. Again, in the animal kingdom Llamas stomp on Bulldogs. Tbh bulldogs shouldn’t exist, they have so many problems. They can barely breathe on their own. They’re cute at least. Llamas to win in OT/SO 2-1
