Week 9 Betting Lines (Fall 2023)

Merry Pranksters (-120)
Jewish Golden Calfs (-120)
Over 7.5 (-120)
Under 7.5 (-120)

Notes: The Fall 2023 season wraps up this evening with a short two game slate that nonetheless had sub issues, as is tradition. The Pranksters will have a short lineup but it is a very solid one and even though this game means jack shit to them standings-wise, they certainly look like they’re trying to end their season on a high note. And considering how poorly the post-restart games have gone, who could blame them? The Golden Calfs are missing a few players, as is tradition, but they do have Malik, Tash and Minsky in. Unfortunately their d-corps is decimated and Max is out again so Simon gets the call in net. Odds are this is a playoff preview and we see these teams face off once again in the 1st round as the 6/7 matchup. In that one with full rosters I will probably have gold slightly favored. With some key absences on each side, this one rates as a total toss-up. Forced to pick one, I’m sticking with gold.

Big Deke Energy (+140)
On Tuesdays We Wear Pink (-185)
Over 7.5 (-120)
Under 7.5 (-120)

Notes: The final game of the regular season is legitimately one of the biggest in years. This is basically a playoff game as the #2 seed is on the line which carries with it a berth directly into the final four. Yellow needs to get only a point to clinch 2nd while pink would need to pick up the full three points with a regulation win to get there themselves. Unfortunately for Deke fans, yellow will be missing all sorts of players as Magosin and Pelletier are for sure out while Mel is probably in but her apartment is leaking everywhere so she might drown by then. Either Ridzik or Cam will be in net I believe (let’s hope). Meanwhile pink has most of their top players in, Hilary playing the whole game and Jeff Green in net. You may have doubted both pink and the league sportsbook before but this is a very solid team and I think they’re going to end up, as predicted, as the #2 seed. Pink in regulation to clinch.
