Week 5 Betting Lines (Summer 2025)

Reds N’ Roses (-120)
The Mighty Ducks (-120)
Over 6.5 (-120)
Under 6.5 (-120)

Notes: Wow, it’s legitimately weird to actually have to put out betting lines on a Tuesday (fuck, it’s Thursday isn’t it). After multiple rainouts, none of which happen until right before games start, I was beginning to think we’d never play again but here we are with a full slate of games that actually look like they might happen. Incredible stuff although I will not be there as it’s blue dinner night and so Jenn will be running the box while we destroy Patrizia’s and possibly Gem afterwards. Anyways, it’s probably hard to remember what the hell was going on in this league before this involuntary extended break we’ve been on, but the Ducks are currently undefeated and find themselves at #2 in the standings with some impressive victories including one where they played a large portion of the game with an empty net. Meanwhile red is 1-2 with a highly impressive win over a full strength green team (dark green, not the light green team they’re playing tonight – confusing I know). But they also scored two combined goals against black and yellow. Those teams do have two of the top goalies in the league but still. I think the Ducks would be multigoal favorites on must other nights but without Simon, Reape and their actual leading scorer, Captain Sarah Hoffman, plus a goalie who has played one ball hockey game in the past four years and is now infamous for having referred us Yehuda…I have to consider this game a dead heat.

Reds N’ Roses (+2.0 Goals) (-110)
Fertilizin’ Eggs (-2.0 Goals) (-130)

Over 6.0 (-120)
Under 6.0 (-120)

Notes: These teams met earlier this season and Egg game out of it with a 3-1 win. Of course, they had Andrew for that game whereas he will not be able to make this one but regardless, I think they have to be considered a favorite here with a mostly full roster (besides egg) plus Sophia in net. Red is missing Yehuda Silverman who they had for his rookie of the year campaign once upon a time although to be fair, five of his goals that season came against blue in a game when we put Sam Gelman in net. It’s still a difficult loss to take and will probably lead to another difficult loss to take, in the game itself. 4-2 Eggs.

The Mighty Ducks (+1.5 Goals) (-120)
Fertilizin’ Eggs (-1.5 Goals) (-120)

Over 6.5 (-120)
Under 6.5 (-120)

Notes: The Ducks will have Reape back for this game along with Corey in net but Simon remains out, as does Andrew for Eggs. Fairly even absences for both sides in that regard (although the loss of Sarah is sneaky big for the Ducks). This is a pretty huge game standings-wise as these are the top two teams so far and will be battling for a top two seed which guarantees a bye. My money’s on yellow. Egg to win.

The MilkMob (EVEN)
The Pie Pie Strikes Back (-145)

Over 6.5 (-120)
Under 6.5 (-120)

Notes: Two teams that in my opinion are better than their records would indicate. MilkMob is 2-2 and Pie Pie 1-3 but I think these are both sneaky good teams and both in the top half of the league. MilkMob is coming off an impressive 3-0 win over blue the last time we played which honestly seems like years ago. It was an incredible game from Corey and he’ll need to be at his best again tonight to defend against a potent orange attack that includes James, Gelman, Ken and Danilo, plus sleeper rookie Sheila who scored her first two D5 goals on that most recent D5 night. Orange actually led the Ducks 3-2 with under two minutes left in that game and looked poised to give them their first loss before light green scored two late to take the regulation win. That doesn’t show up in the standings, but it was a super tight game and I think they deserve a slight edge in this one. MilkMob will be rocking a sweet lineup so it’s not a big edge, but they should have a slight one. I’ve got Pie Pie by a hair. A coarse orange cat hair, that is.

Slime Time Live (+2.0 Goals) (-105)
Purple Nurple (-2.0 Goals) (-135)

Over 5.5 (EVEN)
Under 5.5 (-145)

Notes: These teams are fairly even and there are some absences for both with Caleb out for purple and Shaun, Chris Fullam and Jake out for Slime Time. Plus KG and Aliza subbing for the green ladies. All very important considerations. But the most notable lineup situation here is the purple goalie and it appears they’re using one of their Campbell games. As such, it’s a sub-six over/under and a multi-goal favorite status for them. Text me if you need a live line; see ya at Gem if you want to rip tequila on a Thursday. First round’s on Pete.
