Notes: The problem with playing these games right after Nashville is that a bunch of people in this game are going to be absolutely destroyed with their bodies, minds and souls in shambles. Even more unfortunately, most of those people are on blue. Cardello isn’t even in town. Hopefully enough damage was done to Brooke and Joel to offset but I highly doubt it. I’d post photos but don’t want anyone to get fired/disbarred. It’s a real shame too because this was one of the most anticipated matchups of the playoffs with a true 1st place juggernaut at 9-1 and scoring over six goals per game vs a blue defense and goaltending combo that’s been one of the only teams all season actually interested in playing defense. It will truly take a heroic effort from the back-end and a Chad resurrection to pull the upset, but it is certainly a possibility. However, considering the absolute landslide of public opinion here and the brutal condition of the team at the moment, I do think that green must be favored.

Notes: This was all set to be a beautiful matchup between the 2nd and 3rd place squads but the tie dye roster is absolutely decimated with Sam and Maddy out for this one. They get Sarah Hoffman to sub in to give them some relief but even so, without Gelman their prospects are extremely rough. To be fair navy has some absences of their own as Minsky tore his hamstring playing in goal (yes you read that correctly) while Hilary is out due to Nashville. It’s not ideal for them but in this game it really shouldn’t matter as they’ve gotten Cherie to sub and in general just have a deeper lineup showing up, particularly with Amit and Mitch originally not supposed to be in for playoffs but now around for them. I am a big fan of the current Pranksters revival and will be pulling for them to make it competitive but unless Sonj just absolutely puts the team on her back, it’s a tall task. 6-2 Shake n’ Bake.

As always, anything can happen. It’s obvious who the favorites are but in a single elimination tournament and with players on all teams except the biggest underdog all liable to throw up during the game, it could be one for the ages. See ya tonight.
