The Charging Cheetahs (-110)
Green Street Hooligans (-130)
Over 5.5 (-120)
Under 5.5 (-120)
The Pick: The Cheetahs will be icing a mostly full roster minus Jo who was supposedly injured by someone on the blue team Tuesday (guess Tigers are more vicious than Cheetahs after all). The Hooligans will be missing most of their time and utilizing a taxi squad of Mike T, #akhilnation, free agent Chris, Casca in net and a lady to be named later. The Cheetahs need this game to keep their hopes of a first round mini-bye alive so they will be giving it their all. The Hooligans have already clinched first but the players who are in tonight are playing to secure a perfect season, which would be the first since the league expanded to eight teams and nine games in the Fall of 2018. It’s going to be a tight one, but I think the Cheetahs, who have everything to play for, will deny green the unbeaten season and put themselves in position to get the mini-bye. Take Dave and the Cheetahs to go into the playoffs on a roll.
Goonies (-160)
The Bayside Tigers (+120)
Over 5.5 (-120)
Under 5.5 (-120)
The Pick: The Goonies are the highest scoring team in the league while the Tigers are the lowest scoring team in league history. As I often say to Hicks when he complains to me about his team’s roster issues – not good. However, the Tiger are giving up the 2nd least goals in the league and will have Mike T lending some support up front this evening while the Goonies use Austin/Mike from the artist formerly known as Mofo. Gabe is out, and without him the Tigers are going to be hard pressed to create offense, not to mention the fact that they can’t move up to 4th anymore while the Goonies are playing for a shot at the double-bye. White to win.
The Bayside Tigers (-135)
My Cup Size Is Stanley (-105)
Over 5.5 (-120)
Under 5.5 (-120)
The Pick: Commissioner Bowl II of the season turns into the battle to avoid the basement as, unless the Tigers upset the Goonies in the prior game, the loser of this game will be in last while the winner moves to 7th. Doesn’t make a huge difference except that 7th obviously avoids a potential matchup with 1st in the final four. Then again, both these teams have a long ways to go before they can think ahead that far. The Tigers won the previous matchup 3-1 and with Cup Size hurting for girls, odds are blue takes this one as well.
Stud Puffins (-105)
RONKONKOMA CONDO’S (-135)
Over 5.5 (-120)
Under 5.5 (-120)
The Pick: The final game of the Summer 2019 regular season sees the Puffins take on the CONDO’S in a game with tremendous playoff implications. The CONDO’S can clinch the 2nd seed and the double-bye, regardless of what the Goonies do, with a regulation victory here. Otherwise, they simply have to match whatever the Goonies do in this game. Meanwhile, should the Cheetahs lose in the early game to the Hooligans, the Puffins could incredibly still earn a play-in bye if they’re able to, as Lee promised and did not deliver on in Week 5. Ironically SBJ will be playing in the game that is basically the SBJ special, with a random group of players forming the core of the team he is sure to bet on. The Puffins will be using #akhilnation and Lee’s Mofo teammates Mike/Austin, along with free agent Erica and possibly an extra lady if Marcella indeed can’t go. The CONDO’S will be using a lady sub to be named later as well, probably whomever can be convinced to stick around after the early games. Unlike most of these games, both teams have something big to play for. Odds are, however, that much like they’ve done all season the CONDO’S ride timely scoring and Casca’s sexy netminding to an automatic spot in the final four.
