Notes: These two teams met on my birthday earlier this season in what I had as one of the marquee games of the year and Pranksters barely escaped with a W. Since then, they’ve gone in completely opposite directions as tie dye is having their best season ever while pink has had some tough luck with attendance and bounces in individual games. That said, pink is icing a playoff-style lineup tonight which makes a lot of sense since there’s a solid chance they’ll be playing an actual playoff game later in the night while the Pranksters won’t have 1st round pick Jo Robin. That’s enough to turn the odds in favor of pink, standings be damned. It should be a pretty even matchup in my opinion but slight edge to Hart Foundation who have everyone coming and should make this an unpleasant game for the Pranksters. Pink to win.

Notes: I have a metric in my internal stats/standings document which I don’t publish but use to advise me on game totals. It tracks the average amount of goals scored by both teams in games played by a team – in essence, it somewhat distills both offense and defense into an average game total for a team. And let me tell you – if you enjoyed last week’s yellow-orange defensive battle, boy do I have a treat for you in this one. That game had the lowest non-championship over/under in league history at 5.0 and this one has the same but with the under favored. MPT games average a combined 4.56 goals per game while Mojo Jojo games average a combined 4.75 goals per game. I have no idea what to expect in this one but have to expect that goals will be at a premium and that the public will be all over yellow, even without Pelletier. Me personally, I’m taking the points with green.

Notes: Gold won’t have either Minsky or Joe and has Simon subbing in goal for Max. Looks like Sara is also out while Jeff, Brad and Chaim are also GTDs. This is not what you want to see if you are a fan of gold or have futures on them that don’t include them getting the 10 seed, which is exactly what happens if they lose in regulation. Meanwhile, as mentioned earlier, pink is basically throwing a playoff-style lineup out there. This could get ugly. I guess it doesn’t REALLY matter because every team gets a shot at the play-ins but gold could really use a week off to get Joe and maybe Brad back. I don’t think theyre going to get it. Pink to win and, assuming they win the earlier game in regulation as well, potentially move into 7th place which would set up a rematch between these teams in the west coast timeslot.

Notes: By the time this game happens there’s a good chance it will mean pretty much nothing to green as they could be locked into the 8/9 matchup. Meanwhile if JFC wins in regulation and yellow loses in regulation they could move up to 4th which means they play one less playoff game. It’s tough to make odds for this game without knowing the motivations for either team so I’m going to play it safe and just throw in a big spread with high chance of a push and a low over/under. If orange has a chance at the 4 they’re going to go hard; if green is locked into the 8/9 they’re just playing for pride. No idea what to really make of this one except I expect very little scoring and, if orange can move in standings, for them to take it down.
